Arsenal have had to beat Liverpool City and Chelsea on some of their recent cup runs. We can’t just expect to get a wonder draw all the way to the final. We’ve had 4 home draws, literally can’t ask for more than that. Who knows why priorities City have round that time. They may even play a weakened team which they wouldn’t if we’d waited until the final to get them. Even drawing with them and going through on pens would do it.

If it’s our year then it doesn’t matter who we get at what point.
I’d rather get the toughest one out the way now. If we win great and you’d defo fancy us to go on, if we don’t then it’s a case of no other distractions in our quest for the highest league position we can get.

Totally agree and the other thing is that if we played City in the final they would absolutely play their strongest team.
If you play them in an earlier round the there is a chance that they might play a slightly weaker team.
BTW its almost impossible for them to play a weak team!

City do have a CL second leg in the midweek prior to this, but it is the home leg, so I don't expect much rotation from them.

We are never going to get this long awaited trophy with playing Sheff weds and the likes all the way to final, (we dont get luck like that) be sure we wont have to beat just one of the big sides but probably two of them and we are well equipped to do that.

Thing is their weakened teams are just another variation of their strongest team... Ridiculous depth. Will be a tough game but if we beat them it will give us confidence to go all the way.
