International break after our game though Bruce so barring injuries I reckon he'll have his strongest side out.

Hopefully we have our strongest side available too and if we do we'll give a good account of ourselves.
Oh for sure, and they play Borussia at home as well so no travel to worry about. Still, we'll have a week to prepare so hopefully we'll make it count. It'd be great if we managed to get a full squad available too, but we'll see.

Which would make 4, including Spurs. Maybe next year we can get the 1984 draw lol
We can beat City, at a stretch under the right circumstances and decisions going our way. Is it likely we'd then beat United and Chelsea too?

I cant see it.

We were unfortunate in the draw and that's that.

We need a massive cash input before we see our next trophy.

It's hard to win a trophy these days. I wish Guardiola had Klopps attitude to domestic cups.

Klopp doesn't give a flying one about domestic cups. He has a terrible record in them. He just wants the PL and CL.

Guardiola infuriates me by wanting to win trinkets (to them) like the FA Cup and LC.

Don't suppose City will be relishing the draw either but I'll still be shocked if we knock them out with the form they're in.
Just have to hope we have a good day and they have a bad day.
Our defence remains solid and our attack is clinical.

It’s a month away

Our past 10 sixth round / quarter final results in all cup competitions

Everton 0 Man Utd 2
Everton 2 Leicester 2 (lost on pens)
Everton 2 Chelsea 0
Arsenal 4 Everton 1
Everton 0 Wigan 3
Middlesbrough 0 Everton 2
Sunderland 0 Everton 2
Everton 2 Middlesbrough 1
West Ham 1 Everton 2
Middlesbrough 3 Everton 0

I believe this is correct but I may be wrong

Three to win it: City, United and Chelsea.

Tbh Southampton and Leicester with the Fa Cup as their sole aim would probably be just as difficult for us as playing one of these teams (especially if one of them has european distractions and play a weakened team). There’s no easy way around it. It would be great if it was a year where the draw had opened up but since Guardiola Mourinho and Solskjaer started taking cups seriously that’s not happened for a while. It’s not like previous seasons where Rodgers Liverpool, Pellegrini’s City, United couldn’t be arsed and Wenger just swept it up. If we want to win trophies we have to beat multiple good teams. That’s how it is.

I’ve always thought the FA cup is harder to win than the CL. Any CL team would be dreading a run of Spurs, United, Chelsea, City to potentially win it. Liverpool’s run to the CL final was easier than that.

We should be making the quarters most seasons. We need to start being regulars in the quarters and semis every season, that’s how you win cups, not waiting around for this mystical run every ten years or so.
