To walk in a leisurely manner

Depends on incomings + my point was about a reaction from match going fans.

As others have posted he's lucky not to face an italian backlash.

This is exactly the type of post which Fabian Delph made...rude, condescending and showing a lack of intelligence and reasoned thought.

Luckily though you're not a highly paid professional footballer insulting people who indirectly contribute to their wages.

Tell me, have you ever (under your own named account) insulted clients of yours or anyone you worked for?

If you had, I suspect you find yourself unemployed and unemployable.

You would be surprised about how many match goers dont follow social media and wont have any idea about anything.

When I first heard him talk at his press conference upon signing I made up my mind that he was thick. He could barely string two intelligent sentences together.

Yep, don't get me wrong, DMing players to give them abuse is stupid and ineffective but, again, I'm sure it happens all the time. Pop them on ignore and the problem is solved. Delph needs to learn to put his ego aside from time to time, on and off the pitch.
If he learned:-
a, To be on the pitch
b, To play reasonably well when he does appear
It would be a start. What a waste of time he is.

This one, like so many others, is 100% on that utter failure Marcel Brands.

Imagine coming to Everton with this bigshot reputation, then proceeding to hand long-term contracts to people such as Delph and Alex Iwobi. 99% of supporters could have seen it would backfire spectacularly.

And then imagine same Director of Football allowing the squad to go into the new season with three centre halves, two of which (Keane and Holgate) were deemed not good enough to start this season anyway (Zouma was the one pencilled in, but Brands didn't bother going for another defender when it was clear we wouldn't get up, right at the START of the window) and the other proven not able to be relied on to stay for for an extended period of time (Mina).

Then imagine he just didn't bother signing a goalscorer we'd known is needed for over TWO years.

What an utter, utter failure he has been. And then they go and give him a place on the board - sums us up nicely! Rewarded for terrible work.

Sense of realism is sadly lacking.

Ive seen lists of 8 or 9 players that people think wont play for us again.

Ive got some very bad news, we have nobody else.
You're absolutely right, and that's why none of them will leave and nothing will change.

This situation requires steps that Everton are too nice to take.

The default response from our fans to every single poor performance seems to be 'they didn't try'. They do try, they're just not very good. Delph is worse than most.

No way they tried. Look at the second half. There was no tackles. As in none. No yellow cards. In a derby that a evertonian should be giving everything. Blood sweat tears. They thought because of all the chances in first half a goal would just come. They stood off. Always 2 yards off. Never a proper challenge to set a tone. To bully a under 19 team. They actually disnt tackle. I look at small examples. Digne taking a corner. Strolling over 10 mins to go. 1 nil down. Rolling the ball under his foot tapping it over to the corner. Same as holgate against norwich taking a throw in. 1 nil down. Stroll over. Flick the ball up. It took him 45 seconds to take a throw in and he gave a dreadful one that bounced off a thigh and out off play. It would never happen in a liverpool team. They are switched on 90 full mins. Full effort 90 mins. That's why they win matches against weak teams. They nullify them. We were playing a bunch of kids. Definitely weaker than the starting 11 we put out. We didnt nullify them. So no we didnt try. If we did they would have won the match. No doubt about it. This has been going on years since martinez second season. It needs to be nullified. Effort. Effort effort. 90 mins.

They’re not evertonians though are they, they’re professional footballers. What you’re talking about is them not doing what me and you would do, leaving every last drop of energy on that pitch. That’s very different from not trying. It would be nice if they did that, obviously, but we’ll be waiting a hell of a long time to get a squad of players who will do that, it’s absolutely not the norm.
