Definitely not. He’s played a handful of games for us in about 3 seasons. Played well for about 90 minutes over the past 2 games. I welcome that but certainly not enough to warrant a new contract.
End of the season. Whether it's a coincidence, who knows. As long as we did well from it and he pays us back a bit we'll take that at a time it's needed. No matter what, don't offer a contract. We need to learn.
What he has highlighted though is how much we've missed Gareth Barry since he left. We really need a reliable player of this mold. Someone calm on the ball and sweeps up loose balls and intercepts passes.
