Fabian Delph

Delph or gomes.
What an option. Gomes is so bad id rather start with 10 as the job he supposed to do he just becomes a liability and its probably a better option setting up a formation with 10.
Delph is a better option but you know his number is coming up on the touchline after 15 minutes.
Christ we're the shoddiest run club in the country. Possibly the world.

Or this would be more Everton :

BREAKING NEWS
Fabian Delph has exercised a 2 year extension to his Everton contract, club officials werent aware of such a clause, but after getting somebody to actually read the contract they have agreed. The news means that clauses are now activated in his transfer from Manchester City and the Manchester club will be paid 25million as per the new contract clause. By the way, have you seen the boss posts down at Bramley Moore? COYB

You know what, im gonna put my devils advocate hat on here.

Delph was bought in the hope that he would shake off his injuries and give his experience and "winning mentality" in a squad in which it was lacking.
Gomes was bought on the back of SOME very good performances, in the hope that once he adjusted better they would become the norm.

Delph blotted his copybook by being a penis on Insta, he then was either injured or sent off.
Gomes, lovely, lovely Andre, Im not going to use mental issues as a stick to beat anybody, but, anyway, glossing over that, he also suffered a very serious injury, that although he has probably recovered physically, I doubt he will mentally and also his good performances you can sadly count on 1 hand in his time here.

Not defending either player, both arent good enough and both have flopped pretty badly.

I could make a case for most players we have bought, with hindsight we have bought poorly and in huge quantities.

No idea what point im trying to make here, GOAT off.

Was interesting watching the Gary Neville show last night the Overlap with football social media audience including Baz from Toffee TV. There was a good few minutes on Everton as you would expect given our recent plight with Carragher weighing in with relish. However, Roy Keane made a comment along the lines of having worked before with a number of players in the Everton dressing and that they were a bad bunch. I was trying to work out who he was talking about. The obvious one was Coleman through the national team set-up but the only other one I could see that his path had crossed with was this man Delph

Proper love gossip like this.

Delph, Keane, Iceland, Coleman and that random keeper we signed are known to play poker at a few high stakes games that Roy was seen around.

They've either fleeced him or he noticed that they were all a bunch of fannies

Gomes has always been a 1 in 8/9. I take into account his injury. But he's an opposition managers wet dream in away games. I'd be targeting him if i was in the home dressing room.

We need points and we need fight over the remaining 11 games.

What we don't need is side/backward passing with lots of pointing at others - I've seen enough of Delph in a blue shirt and simply don't trust him to be part of a team fighting for their place in the Premiership.

Prefer to give a debut to one of the under 23s - someone with a bit of pace and aggression.

I hate Delph as much as the next fella but if he's fit and Allan is suspended, he starts.
I think it was maybe Wolves away where he came on in the second half and really tightened things up.
They battered us in the first half. Keane and Allan were arguing about who should cover the space between the lines.
None of that when Delph came on.
He'll provide cover for the center backs which we've been missing all season.
He can also deputize at LB and push Godfrey in with Keane. But I'd play him as the deep midfielder in a five man midfield.
Cant believe I'm writing this about Delph.

:) Hang your head in shame for writing that Ruairi :)

I'd love what you suggest were to happen but it reminds me of the story of the frog and the scorpion. The scorpion (crab) just can't change its way even if it wanted to change.

I think were all grasping at straws and hoping that something/someone can spark a revival.

I don't care who it is just that someone does.

He's a DM worth a go with doucs and VVB flanking him especially in the away games we have lacked a proper DM all season
How many times have we said this now? It's been a theme throughout his time here. As he comes to the end of an injury layoff we start fooling ourselves that he might put in a couple of decent games but he never, ever delivers.

No need or desire to ever see him in an Everton shirt ever again.

Im shocked...its plain as day that they dont have the right character.

Delph perma crocked and seems a bad apple.

Keane a total wreck

Coleman rubbish for years then puts in 1.5 games worth of performances when it suits after arguing with fans and blaming other players for his mistakes.
