Fabian Delph

It’s a sign of how much of a mess we are in that Delph being supposedly fit is a relief! 4-3-3 on Sunday with Doucoure-Delph-VDB has to be the 3 in the middle. It’s the only way we’ll have a chance of getting hold of the ball and any semblance of control of the game. I’d rather Delph starts and we play 4-3-3 than he’s on the bench and we try to play with 3 centre backs again.

Thinking that it's very likely that we'll be playing 3 cbs again. Lampard would have work with them during the break and there is no way he would risk delph from the start. Only option would be with gomes but not sure lampard trust him at all. So I am thinking 3 cbs starting and switch later to 2 once we'll inevitably be losing the game.

With three games this week, allan suspended and VDB out v United be interesting to see how Lampard manages it.

I can see Delph starting against West Ham alongside Doucoure and VDB, but as he won't be able to play again in a short turn around wouldn't be surprised to see Dele coming in for the Burnley game...and Delph back in with Allan and Doucoure v United.

Just keep Gomes well clear of the starting 11 please, he can offer something in the last 15/10 of games but he can't start games.

Allan will be back for Utd and VDB will be available against West Ham and Burnley.
If Delph can somehow stay fit for half a dozen games then we have some options.
