Came back when we desperately needed him and managed to scrape enough performances in to really help us out when we were short in the middle.

Glad he's leaving though, so many players have been a huge drain on resources

I think people went overboard with his performances as part of a back-seven, but it was better than having Davies or Gomes in there.

He's had a funny career really. According to Transfermarkt, he played under 800 minutes as a midfielder at City, but that season at left-back will probably see him retire with a better reputation than he deserves.

He'll be remembered as waste overall but there's no doubt he made a real contribution to those critical late-season wins over Man Utd, Chelsea and Leicester which makes you think he could've been a good player for us if only he had stayed fit.

We've just had far too many sicknotes at this club.

With us for 3 seasons, played only 41 times (including substitution appearances). He helped keep us up with some really good performances but overall a huge waste of money. I think he knew he was finished after sustaining injuries after injuries and was just running down his contract.
