Yes, then...when we'd played 8 games and we were 8th in the league and accumulated half of the points we have right now.

See - utterly 'kin barmy move to desert the team to get the manager out.
I think you've hit the nail on the head in this thread Dave. Good stuff.

Not necessarily one to scream "I told you so" but there are lessons that need to be learned here.

Digne was infuriated by our style of play because he thought Everton were too good to fall into a relegation battle. They are not.

The situation we've found ourselves in as fans, hoping the club holds on for dear life onto Premier League status, is primarily due to the horrific recruitment and money wasted by previous managers on deadwood. Benitez had a negative net spend (once the Kean fee comes in).

This is the best bit of bootlicking i've seen in a while. Giving him credit on net spend for a player who will be sold 6 months after he was booted

The agenda is strong in this one

See the Benitez apologists, are still blaming the fans for the fact that he was the one, who finally pulled the plug out of the sinking ship that is Everton FC.
They need to get over Benitez.

That goes for the people who supported him as well to a lesser extent.

Social media sites like Facebook and, particularly, Twitter are utterly toxic. There's a term that gets used to describe the false reality that pervades around social media, it's called "hyper reality". Everything is amplified by 1,000,000% on social media and small issues become utterly overblown.

I'd ban it all if I had the power. When you weigh up the positives and negatives of social media and balance it out there just aren't enough positives and a whole host of negatives. Life was better before social media, it genuinely was, and I would happily see the back of it. Don't even get me started on "adult websites"

Lets not get too hasty now.

Be some struggle getting over the fat whale like.

Can't pretend to understand your point but love your passion ;) On second thought maybe you didn't know the loan deal has an obligation to buy?

So I’ve got a pretty stupid username because I signed up years ago when I was a kid but what made you settle on the noise of pushing out a turd to represent your posts on this forum?

Anybody who watched the team , and the manager making the same mistakes week after week under Rafael and still is still supporting him needs there head feeling or needs to find another sport to watch.
I was willing to give him a chance, but it was obvious by about November , he had lost the players and the plot we hung on to long as normal .
Had a short list of a rookie and a failure from the Chinese league to pick from to replace him.
The damage was done before Lampard got here, don't really know how anyone would pick him to get us out of it but there you go
In fairness to Rafael a lot of the problems were already there not helped by injured players and a useless board.
Honestly it plain as day the top table know nothing about the game, look at who we brought in to help us stay up three attacking midfielders , the one position we didn't need , no centre back, or aggressive midfielder which we did need.
Rafael has to take some of the blame as does Lampard for being a bit nieve.
The real problems are above them , Kenwright should have been run out of town years a go, hasn't got a clue and since Moyes who basically ran tbe club, left its obvious to anybody he is a fool.
