I'd want to hear:

  • How are commercial revenues going to be significantly developed in the period prior to the opening season in a new stadium - because that looks very difficult without it.
  • When, ball park (and given the groundwork on talks done so far with local state and agencies and the private sector), we can expect to see a spade in the ground.
  • How can a commitment to keeping existing players (a keystone of the 'plan' we know so far) hold fast when the usual law of the PL jungle will always destabilise it...aren;t we running to stand still?
I get your point about wanting to know more, we would all like to know that but some of these things are confidential and not shared in an open forum until such time they can. Plus it is a private company and therefore if the major shareholder and chairman wish to deal with things privately, given Moshiri had been reported as being a private man then we should respect that and give him a chance to prove himself and the next custodian of the club.

If the meeting was anything other than positive then the chairman of EFCSA who represent the minority shareholders, should surely have been critical and expressed concern even if it was his first meeting. Otherwise he wouldn't be doing his job.

He doesnt have to tell you anything, Dave.

Talking about stadium and commercial deals mostly mate.

I work in business development and there are so many things that need to be done before you can start putting together accurate timelines. I have companies that have been working with city officials for over 8 months just to get zoning and city incentives agreed upon. I would bet EFC isn't far enough along to divulge stadium information. Toffees aren't the most forgiving group when it comes to the board and our perception of being misled.
Moshiri is a businessman and the good businessmen I know keep information close to the chest. It doesn't do them much good to release that information publicly to appease the crowd.

Why are we assuming that the money were spending is from a sale? £45m ish on two players so that's the Stones money gone, and we're still looking to invest, meaning it would be our own money?

The next bucket Team Pampers will look at is the TV money. They'll say the Stones money is all we've spent. The TV money hasn't been touched, and neither has Moshiri's wallet. Of course they'd be premature in that assessment, as there are two weeks left in the window, and the man himself said there are 3 or 4 more players coming in.

I think many on here would live a little longer if they just sat back and enjoyed the ride rather than negatively fretting about things they have absolutely no control over.
