I only know that Moshiri bought 15% of Arsenal for 75m and sold it for 200m.

Now im not great at Maths, but that seems like a decent return to me like.

Sure, but is it a good return compared to other stuff he could have bought for 75m? Was it wildly more risky than that other stuff? Would a return like that ever happen again? What if Arsenal fall apart when Wenger goes?

Essentially what I'm saying is we haven't the foggiest if anyone would be interested in Usmanovs share for purely financial reasons. Hope they are though.

None of this makes sense, if Usamanov wanted out he couldve just done a deal to sell to Moshiri while he had Arsenal shares then buy Everton himself instead of sending Moshiri over first.
Completely disagree mate, IF the plan was for one of them to come over first it would of course be Moshiri. You'd want to set up all of the accounts, finances and ground work first and foremost. Who better to do that than Moshiri a former accountant and someone who's worked as a financial planner to Usmanov for decades. Moshiri also probably has less responsbities and commitments and can put more groundwork into the the club.

Clearly there are better ways to "invest" 75m, safer ways for sure, but its kinda like a hobby, a "free" season ticket so to speak.

I'm not sure about that mate. Any owner of Everton who doesn't realise they're here to warm a seat and advance the club for the benefit of supporters rather than themselves will quickly be disabused of that. Ask Peter Johnson!
I'm afraid Usmanov is no PJ. If it suits his plans to see us go out of business and re emerge as Everton Colts in the Winstanley Premiership he wont lose much sleep over it

Anyway, in around 2 weeks the window will close, lines in the sand have been drawn, so far The Anti-Mosh Party (TAMP) have the box seat, we sold a star player and we have a pitiful NET spend, the ball is firmly in their court, so RISE TAMPERS, this is your time.

Exactly, i feel like that's the only reason major investors buy into football clubs - but you won't get that at Arsenal because Kroenke won't let anyone else have anything to do with the hobby/fun side of it. That's literally the whole reason Usmanov would want out haha.

No mate. This isn't Cardiff City or Hull. If anyone starting playing games like that here they would quickly and decisively feel the wrath and then make themselves scarce.

Do not mess Evertonians around. It's not a wise policy.

Yeah I saw our wrath, 2 lids asking Bill where the Arteta money was.

Even that was tutted down by Bills army of the undead.

You are talking about a group of fans that allowed the club to go through 5 transfer windows without spending cash money on a single football player.

Wrath, LOL.

Clowns with cakes FC.

No mate. My point about the new stadium was only that in its absence we rely on commercial activity to boost funds for squad rebuilding. How we do that between now and (hopefully three years down the line when a new stadium is opened) is not clear.

We have two main commercial deals given that we have no interest whatsoever to bring back in-house the catering, merchandise etc. The Kitbag deal as I understand is only renegotiable in 2019. The Chang deal is up soon, but how much can we demand? IIRC we're on just over £5M per annum now with Chang. A club like Spurs are on about £20M per annum with their sponsors. We could probably push for £12M per season at best. So, in the coming couple of seasons at least the non-tv commercial increases look limited to an extra £7M per season, which added to, I believe, the rolling £7M per season wage bill rises permitted by the PL isn't going to make a hell of a difference to the situation and we'd likely have to see another big name out the door.

Dave you missed my point altogether about BK in charge and your preference plus my point about commercial information regarding a new stadium could be confidential. I said nothing about sponsorship or funding. You seem to be pursuing an irrational dislike of Moshiri.

Speculation - but:- From Arseblog.

Speculation is mounting that Alisher Usmanov is ready to sell his stake in Arsenal and join former partner Farhad Moshiri at Everton.

The Uzbeki took full control of the 30.04% that RED and WHITE SECURITIES LTD own in the club when Moshiri purchased a 49.9% stake in Everton earlier this year.

However, with an almost non-existent relationship with Stan Kroenke – the 67.05% majority shareholder in Arsenal – and the chances of him being offered a position on the board, or one of any influence at the club, almost zero, it wouldn’t be a surprise if he decided to go all in with Moshiri at the Merseyside club.

In order to do that though, he would need to find a buyer for his shares, as he is highly unlikely to sell to the American’s KSE group.

What that might mean for Arsenal is very interesting. At the moment there’s a kind of status quo, where Usmanov has accepted he can have no influence leaving Kroenke quite happy and untouchable, but perhaps new investors might be more inclined to shake things up.

Since his arrival at Everton, Moshiri has presided over the appointment of Ronald Koeman from Southampton, as well as installing Leicester’s former chief scout Steve Walsh as the club’s director of football, real signals of ambition from the club.

This is definitely a situation to keep an eye on because the implications for Arsenal are obvious.
