We are spending a lot money on players any other season we would of been moaning about, however I agree, I think we need patience..

I think that having a go at each other over rumours and here-say, and opinions on how players are going to fit into a system we don't even know, in a team that I suspect hasn't even been decided by a manager who has only managed a couple of games for us is ..well.. maybe a little premature. At least wait till the window shuts...

Preferably lets wait till Christmas before turning on each other.
Mate, pure and simple what you said there is true.

I really want Moshiri to be the real deal. We've had so many false dawns. I am prepared to give him time over the likes of the stadium and other issues and im happy with what hes done with the manager and the backroom staff. But im not going to laud him for hearsay about debt clearance and land bought for a stadium when we have no proof of this.

And so far this summer, him, Kenwright an Walsh have failed to bring the players they say they wanted and we needed. 5 days included today to get it done.

I only speak about what i can see.

The club has never once come out and said what player they wanted, so you are wrong there

Some ridiculous comments here. We've done nothing but improve since Moshiri took over.

Manchester City took four seasons to win after takeover with "infinite" money, and no FFP. We need to calm our expectations.

Koeman has said they're aiming for Top 6, if not CL. I think that may be a stretch, but better to aim high. Let's just wait and see shall we?

By some reactions the past two years have scared many. And if patience is a virtue, then there are a lot of shameless people posting here.

ye maybe your right but didn't the echo state we were looking at breaking our transfer record and bringing in marquee signing. but i take your point as that is hearsay aswell.

point still stands that with 4 an a half days left they've failed the manager an fans.

you make it sound like because the Echo said it it's true!?

we all need to just be patient, as Koeman has said, we will all see how the squad looks on 1st September.

We have not improved in any measurable way yet.. You have no idea where we will end up, we may finish 19th..
Bill and Martinez told us we would get Champions League... we plummeted.. Its all just whispers in the wind currently. Need to let things pan out before we say we have done well or poorly.

The only true judgement is one that is passed in hindsight. Anything else is just guesses and opinion.

If we were top 6, in Europe, where we should have been, instead of two bottom half finishes, then we'd find it easier to get top players to sign.

They look at our league form recently and swerve us, that is directly down to that fraud your worshipped, if it was up to you he'd still be here, imagine that, I shudder at the thought of it.

How can you judge Moshiri after 5 months yet 2 years of crap results under Martinez you were still saying give him more time
, ironic that isn't it.

That, all day long.

Strip away the hype and it's a Championship player and a winger who has no end product. £32M thrown at that. Unreal.

Williams remains the only good bit of business since the window opened, and here we are now with 6 days until the window slams shut. In effect, we can kiss goodbye to anything being done between now and after the weekend as the Stoke game and its aftermath loom. Which leaves us with Monday through Wednesday to get deals sorted out.

Even if we did sort those out it's same old same old: a summer wasted trying to gel a team together and going into the first half of the season bedding in a handful of players.

I have to question that. Idrissa and Bolasie have done nothing to suggest they were not good business. Whilst I admit paying 30m for the latter was high, we can't really complain if we got 50m for Stones based on his last season's performance. Even Stekelenburg looks like a strong purchase even if does end up being second choice come next week, we'd be on 1 point without his crucial saves.

Time will tell on those two. I'd say though that with Williams what you KNOW you'll get is a great professional who'll put himself on the line for a team and give it backbone.

It's the signing we all knew we needed to make this window as a matter of urgency. I think we got that one right and for an absolute steal in this market.

For me as it stands it's no worse or no better than we would have got under previous regime.

When did THEY say they wanted Mata, etc? They didn't. And Joe Hart. Koeman said he's 'not interested', and many on here refuse to believe him. Half of you are twisting hearsay, pub talk, gash newspaper reports, and the products of various qualities of imagination, to suit your agenda. The only player we may have 'lost' to another club is the Spanish striker, who seems to have chosen Arsenal simply because they have Champions League to offer him.(Whether he would actually get more than a couple of games in the CL is a moot point, but whatever.) Kone may still come, but if he doesn't ,its down to Moyes' bloody mindedness and little else....Sunderland would be better off getting the £18 million and buying a couple of players than holding on to a player who doesn't want to be there.
