I sound like a broken record regarding Kenwright and elstone and maybe clouds my judgement . but till bill is cast aside to honorary president or chairman with no actual involvement in the day to day running of the club nothing will change.

I'm left feeling a little perplexed after yesterday's fiasco and Moshiri's alleged quotes today.

I've welcomed Moshiri's investment with open arms, not least because most of my life supporting Everton has been dominated by settling for mediocrity.

What I instantly liked about Moshiri was not just the money factor but rather, that there seemed to have an obvious plan - get a solid manager on board, get a talent scout on board with a great track record, hit the transfer market.

Sadly, we couldn't get many deals over the line. Not through lack of trying on our part, but perhaps a combination of our naivety and various players/agents and clubs messing us about. Put it down to a learning experience, but no doubt we should have done a lot better.

As for Moshiri's quote today... I sincerely hope it's not a legitimate quote because it shows staggering lack of common sense, ambition and respect for the intelligence of the average Everton fan.

Superbly put mate

Bill did his job, the signings we made were all domestic, you can bet Bill got ALL of those over the line.

The 1s we crashed and burned on where all the European deals, that was probably somebody elses cock up.

Who knows.

They will be tainted by this window no doubt can't see it rectified in January which is notoriously bad window for major acquisitions

Results are everything. With the squad we have, we need to push on towards the January window. Having a strong position in the PL by that time and progressing in the cup competitions will help some with trying to attract the type of players we need. Turn Goodison into Koeman's fortress of snides and we're halfway there.

I am still puzzled at the supposed Moshiri quote today. It literally does not make any sense to me. Why not go through Everton? This is assuming the quote is legitimate but would Jim White go to that extent to make up all of this? Surely something must've been sent, and I can't make any sense of it.

What do you mean, we should be a family club. And he doesn't want to unsettle James.

Because players read the press about them.

If he feels like he's wanted he will give more on the pitch.
I'm sorry, but that makes zero sense to me. He said this just to please him? A player who currently does not start for us and has been mediocre for years and now all of a sudden he's going to read this and be like, "Wow, they really need me, ill give it my all again"

Which could all be done by a press release from the club, or even if he wanted to do it personally he could do it the proper way.

This is a guy who has been completely silent barring his program notes for his first game as majority shareholder - months and months on end of silence - and all of a sudden he's texting Jim White stuff that just outright sounds like nonsense and completely out of character, like he's his best mate?

So mate if Barry's legs go as he's 35 who comes in short term? McCarthy or Gibson hmmm hard one that

If true Moshiri has basically said we now won't buy anyone as it will jeapordise current players already here.

He's also pubically put McCarthy in the spotlight that he isn't wanted

I've said this before, I think Jim is on a windup as he onto the fact we have no money. Wants to kick us when we are down.
