I'm left feeling a little perplexed after yesterday's fiasco and Moshiri's alleged quotes today.
I've welcomed Moshiri's investment with open arms, not least because most of my life supporting Everton has been dominated by settling for mediocrity.
What I instantly liked about Moshiri was not just the money factor but rather, that there seemed to have an obvious plan - get a solid manager on board, get a talent scout on board with a great track record, hit the transfer market.
Sadly, we couldn't get many deals over the line. Not through lack of trying on our part, but perhaps a combination of our naivety and various players/agents and clubs messing us about. Put it down to a learning experience, but no doubt we should have done a lot better.
As for Moshiri's quote today... I sincerely hope it's not a legitimate quote because it shows staggering lack of common sense, ambition and respect for the intelligence of the average Everton fan.
