Someone got out of bed the wrong side this morning...

He added: “If that’s the case and this is the bit that people sometimes get carried away with, if Robert Earl had a £10million investment in Everton then it would seem that he’s sold that - but we don’t know for how much because it’s a private transaction.

“In terms of Everton, the club is no better off. There’s been no indication that there’s any extra money for players, a stadium project or whatever.

“All this announcement says is that 17,465 shares have traded hands. It doesn’t tell us whose 17,465 shares have been sold, it just tells us who has acquired them. “It also doesn’t tell us the price at which those 17,465 shares have been acquired.

“For illustration, if you believe the initially reported figure that they were sold for £175million – although a lot of subsequent reports are now saying it was nowhere near that – then you’re looking at £10,000 a share but we don’t know that figure.”

Joe Beardwood in talking garbage shocker.

Basically every question Beardwood asked has already been answered:

- Moshiri has bought out Earl, and bought shares off Kenwright and Woods.
- Of course the club is better off. The majority shareholder is 46 times richer than the previous one, and he HAS promised investment.
- Beardwood claiming there has been 'no indication of Moshiri's intentions' is utter nonsense - the very first statement Moshiri made was that he would bring investment to the club.
- Beardwood has got no idea at all about a non-hostile takeover, of settling in, then acquiring more than 50%. The only way Kenwright was ever going to relinquish the club was this way, because he's terrified of a Hicks & Gillet scenario. Why is this so hard to understand? There's nothing wrong with it. In time I'm quite sure Moshiri will increase his shareholding. Beardwood just sounds gutted no-one has tried to buy any shares off him.

Hes just stamping his feet demanding we know everything after a day.

Wouldnt be surprised if its @davek.

If in 6months we know nothing and nothing has happened, I might get worried, but im gonna give the fella more than a day.

Seems fair.
Exactly, I will wait till the start of next season before even wondering if it good or bad. Full transfer window so we see what sort of investment we get there and also the planning for a new ground/rebuild of Goodison can't be done overnight. Got to give him a chance to change things and these things don't happen overnight.

There's probably a very good reason why he hasn't taken a majority stake yet (I think it will be because of the Prudential loan but haven't checked that yet).

There's no need at this stage for him to do more buying until he's got his people in and serious investment starts flowing.

I'm sure the old boards shareholdings will be acquired at different stages over the next couple of years including Bill's.

A proper, managed takeover...hope springs eternal.

Yeah, two. He actually mentions in the article that nobody has approached him to buy his shares from him, and he seems quite aggrieved by it, as if he was banking on a windfall from any takeover.
That's a weird thing to say anyway, why would anyone have approached such a minor shareholder at this point in time? If he wants 100% control the people with 1 or 2 shares will be the last ones that are asked.

Don't know why he's given a platform to spout his nonesense.

He valued us at 127 Million last year. One Hundred and Twenty Seven million in the Premier League with a record TV Deal.
