Sky said sissoko was on his way from Newcastle to goodison and sissoko says he was in London all the time waiting to sign for Spurs. Talksport said he was at Paris Airport awaiting a phone call earlier in the day. Sissoko says he never agreed to sign for Everton at all. Something doesn't add up and people can conspire either way to suit any agenda. My conspiracy theory is Sky needed excitement and went with what they thought would grab viewers attention

There's no agenda from me, I'm just looking at what is in front of me. For what you say to be all there is to it, loads of journalists must have been spectacularly wrong in reporting physical, verifiable events - such as Koeman calling the player and Everton having a plane ready.

Thought exactly the same haha

elstone sorting transfers? I'm actually suprised we signed anyone then!

When he was appointed to the board of directors I assumed it was going to be with a view to him having less to do with day to day running of the club and eventually getting rid. What it actually looks like is that he's been promoted and also still deals with one of the most important aspects of on field matters.

You have to question the judgement of a man that gives Elstone those powers.

Regardless of the Sissoko situation.

It's been an unconvincing start to the new regime tbh. Until I see a stadium being physically built, or there is a large investment in the playing staff, I will remain a little bit sceptical. People hailed him as the Messiah a little too readily.
Solid but a long way short of spectacular so far, and this Jim White nonsense is a concern.

There's a tendency for many to blame Elstone, when it wasn't that long ago the consensus was he had no involvement in transfers...

It's ultimately down to Moshiri who said after we signed Bolasie;

In a statement to Sky Sports News, Moshiri said: “We are very pleased about today’s signing but remain anxious to further strengthen the squad.

“The chairman is relentlessly pushing things forward with my total support for him, Steve Walsh and Ronald Koeman”.

So, Moshiri has made the decision and opted for the chairman to lead/conclude transfers.

As I understand it, Koeman/Walsh identify. Moshiri signs off the money - Kenwright "pushes things forward"

That process is determined by one man. Moshiri.

I think everyone needs to relax a little bit, I am, in no way going to doubt Moshiri's plans for our club, I think the main issue is the Stadium move, we have to get this done as soon as possible for the outside world to see us as a club going places.
It looks like we did try and convince top players to come here, but it didn't work out unfortunately, but I think we will have a decent season this year, I'm confident that Koeman has looked at the squad and thought "I can this team in the top 7 easy"
Let's see were we are come January and if we are up there, then we may get a couple of signings needed to push us on in the run in.

Not you in particular I was talking about people in general. Just saying that what we hear is leading to ammo for conspiracy. What one person says to another is usually added to to make it sound better then the initial statement or rumour is distorted more and more as its passed along and becomes totally different.

Whatever is being said does not bother me in the slightest, I am not embarrassed and will not be embarrassed if what sky reported or Jim White said is even true. I will just look to see if we have a stronger team and if we are progressing or attempting to progress and I am satisfied that we are/have. We are supposed to have missed out on about 10-15 targets according to the media and if this is true then we have attempted but failed. At least it wasn;t a 'go with what we have'. I am bored with conspiracies and propaganda on here and just want the next match to come and get back to football.

He was in London Wednesday afternoon/evening but so was Elstone who was trying to conclude a number of deals.

Had Sissoko travelled to Liverpool by plane I suspect Elstone would have travelled back with him to discuss personal terms.

Everton got a communications wedgie.

Someone at the club told sky we had bid 30m for the player when jim white started his gig. For me that was a deliberate planned move from someone inside of the club as they were panicking at that stage.

This is old Everton old day long taking the piss out of the fan base and they know it.

Thanks
Big game being played here - Moshiri and Everton have deliberately not given Sky information over the transfer window, this is Sky's retribution.

Mountain out of a molehill.

lol wat?

The only excusable scenario is that Moshiri was smashing the beak when he sent that text.

That would make sense and I could forgive it.

Otherwise I'll never get over the fact that our new owner sent Jim ballbag White (of all people) a text which puts even Bill Kenwright's past luvy quotes to shame.

I felt less embarrassed walking out of Anfield last season.

That statement to Sky Sports News is obviously false, like yesterday's one.

Just a bit strange that is has not been denied yet, even when asked by the Echo and other reporters.
