But players earn more money through image rights and sponsorship than they do in wages mate, its ok saying just throw more money at them, but how much more? How much is enough? Are you suggesting for example that we should pay for example somebody like Carvalho 200k a week? Just to cover his loss of CL football?

And then what happens? The whole squad bangs on the door wanting a pay rise, the next player we try and sign says "You are paying Carvalho 200k a week, I want the same", next thing you know we have a wage bill of 50m a week.

Its unfeasible David, it really is.
Well that's precisely why the shouts earlier in the summer about that class of player arriving here were ludicrous. And it's also why the puny EL wouldn't have swayed them in the absence of massive wages. 5th or midtable: no difference to elite players.

The more I read about what's happening at our club, the more I seriously fear we are being misled. This talk of a new loan is shocking! And could be the start of a very rocky road.
Every part of me wants to believe Moshiri will transform us, but I can't get rid of the feeling he is just a front and the old regime are still very much running the show. Moshiri keeps us off Bills back, if he wasn't here and after what's happened with regards to transfers, Bill would be chased out of town if he was still the figure head.

A lot of questions need answering as far as I'm concerned. I hope to god our form doesn't take a nose dive because things will turn nasty very quickly.

I think at this point we should all just assume we are actual North Korea.

I hate to break this to you but if we aren't willing to spend like we have lots of money then there's no point other than stability in having lots of money.

I disagree Tubes, that was very much the case.

To use your Robinho example, we would have had to have signed Pogba to match that level of signing.

But we did go for the likes of Witsel, Carvalho, Koubs, all very high profile highly thought of players that would have signalled an intent.

We didn't sign one, so it's irrelevant - we didn't want to do it enough.

Again, I'll get the accusation I expect every player to be a £70m signing now, but that's not what I'm saying. I'm saying that if you're a benefactor of a football club, and you want to send a statement that you want to play in the big leagues, then you identify a target and get that target. We did it with the small change options in Koeman and Walsh, but we didn't do it for players on the pitch, and that says a lot.

2x 5th place finishes would have attracted the players we wanted, we clearly wont agree and neither of us can prove it either way, so lets leave it there David.

Based on zero investment, no debt clearing and having all the hallmarks of a massive asset stripper at this point.

The only justification for that loan is it being stadium related. If it isn't, the discussion about Moshiri ends flat.

Wouldn't go that far pal.
Not time for knives out yet, it's stil up in the air his intentions.

Stop talking sense mate the pitchforks will be out.

Outstanding charges at Companies House does not mean that the debt hasn't been repaid. There's no legal obligation to inform Companies House that they have been satisfied.

But doesn't there have to be a catch up at some point, otherwise the CH records would be years out of date if no one notified them?

This new loan thing is probably (or maybe that should be hopefully) for stadium stuff yeah?

Like rather than lumping £400m down in one go, do it over instalments yeah?

YEAH?!?!
