No problem mate - it's because the payments are legally assigned to the lender R&M. So we have authorised the PL to pay the lender who then pays us. It is the lender's way of guaranteeing payment.

Can't be real, Jim White a journalist? The statement definitely isn't.

One thing the club is awful at since Myers left is comms.

That statement and the "watch this space" from the other day tell me this is a pisstake. We put a bid in for Sissoko but withdrew because we're a family club and didn't wanna sell McCarthy. Doesn't make sense and is a clear wind-up, could be Kopites could be one of our own with the "watch this space". No way is it real though.

You say the quotes aren't mainstream headline grabbers, ie not of much interest and unlikely to be reported.

So why would moshiri text him if he wanted to get out the message he was protecting McCarthy? He just texted him in the vague hope white would report it?

Do you think the billionaire owner of Everton would give a statement to a sky journalist by text? Or maybe use Everton Facebook, Everton Twitter, Everton Tv, the written press or even one of the multitude of Everton forums that inhabit the internet.

We (the fanbase) have barely heard a word spoken by Moshiri since his arrival so why would he make such a ludicrous statement to the media. The answer probably is - he has not. The reason we pulled out of the deal is sissoko wanted to go to Spurs its that obvious, but for sky that isn't enough of a story so have to make one up.

Tbh, outside if this forum the text has received very little attention. In fact, I'd expect any blue who isn't a member of this site to even know this obviously made up text even exists.

It's a nonsense. When has the paying off and signing up of outgoing/incoming managerial teams ever been included in transfer window spending?
