But you are still assuming the investment was to be made this transfer window, for all we know he may be committed but the investment will be coming once our stadium plans are known. Everton came out and told Sky Sissoko ignored Koemans phone call, and was then told by his team that Sissoko wouldn't sign for us.. Fine

So why the next day say we pulled out because of McCarthy when it was in fact Sissoko who turned us down?

So confusing, stupid and annoying me so much don't know why I bother with Everton at times. Just mess after more mess. I wouldn't care if we were skint, relegated every year and had no players. Can't remember the detail, but basically Reading defaulted on their loan, VIBRAC effectively took control of the club without the fit and proper person test being done, so the club got a suspended fine of 30k from memory. Our old mate Chris Samuelson was involved from memory.

Wow, how could they pull that off? Was the debt at a value equivalent to the club itself?

A suspended fine to the club to the tune of 30k doesn't make much sense does it?
