I wouldn't call Moshiri a fraud at all, those two absolute chancers who have done nothing but oversee failure in their roles at the club that have been promoted to the board during his tenure though.....absolutely.

It's the lingering smell of the old regime that worries me.
Well, and despite all assurances to the contrary, the old guard are still in command and still making vital decisions - at least that's what many people think. It's not so much a hangover as continuity.

He made a '£3m profit' because the £30m transfer of Moussa Sissoko collapsed at the last minute (and thankfully so, in hindsight).

What dialogue do you want him to have? People generally didn't (and some still don't) like it when Kenwright showed his face on tv and did his usual spiel.

I think most people prefer actions rather than words and I think you're blatantly ignoring his actions just to be a sceptic. It is okay to acknowledge that some good things have occured under his watch, you know. You don't have to join his fan club or get his name tattooed on your arm, but you can acknowledge he's moved the club forward in his first 9 months as majority shareholder. Saying he's done 'nothing' is just blatantly untrue.

'Balls in his court in January' - So basically you want him to spend loads of money on players in January, just to prove he's committed.

Nobody is talking about 'giving him a free pass', but I think 'the bulk of supporters of this club' can see we're making progress.
Well, how many times did we see last minute bids fall through under Kenwright? The facts, shorn of all the spin, are that we paid out £3M less than we took in.

Dialogue: as I recall that was one of the first things people stated they wanted when they heard a new owner was coming in. That's been a massive failure. Not one meaningful word on the plans this feller has. That situation would never have happened at any other club with pretensions of going to the top (or to stay there). Talk about a Peoples' Club is a hollow phrase when even the Kopites would get chapter and verse from new owners concerning intentions and plan of action/timescale etc.

There used to be a poster called 'Rupert's Tower' on Kipper who used to rally manfully against any criticism of Board, owners and the mere suggestion of P. Green having any involvement. Incredibly, it turned out this was actually Everton PR man Ian Ross behind the account. You can usually tell when a poster takes a very aggressive stance defending all things Everton leaders. It was a little like this actually;

Absolutely spot on. I genuinely think some people just like moaning for the sake of it. It's like they define themselves as being negative. Perhaps it's because Kopites generally see no wrong in their own team and are blind to their faults, and some Blues try to forge their own identity by being the complete opposite and thinking everything's wrong with their club, even when lots of things aren't and are actually progressing really well.

Absolutely none of your post there is true or factual.

He didn't buy Everton 'for next to nothing'.
There was no 'premise he would invest in the team'.
He has never given any news source an interview about his aims.
There has been plenty of investment in terms of money spend, on infrastructure and Goodison upgrades.
All of these were changes for the better.

Some people have short memories.

What are these 'grounds for being wary'?

All I see is he got rid of a failing manager and coaching staff (who would've been kept on by Kenwright, who made a very bad deal and had these people under lengthy deals and would not have been able to afford to pay them off like Moshiri did), who it has since been revealed let the players do whatever the hell they liked and there was no discipline at the club. He brought in a quality manager and coaching staff with high standards and disciplines and more than a plan A & B to win a game.

He's overseen the biggest revamp at Goodison Park in 23 years since the Park End was built, spending actual money to do up the ground.

He's quite clearly driving the new stadium agenda, after years of failure and inertia. He's got the club back on board with the council. He and the rest of the entire board very publicly visited what is quite clearly the forerunner in terms of new stadium sites, a site that will generally please virtually every Everton fan if it comes off. It can't be that far away if the entire club board are pulled from all parts of the country/world, along with an American stadium architect, to visit said site along with the Mayor of the city.

I see nothing to be 'wary' about. There lots and lots of other rich people who buy into football clubs and do virtually nothing, and certainly not as much as Moshiri has done in his first 9 months.

As ever, make of that what you will / the plot thickens.

Pretty much that. Very strange that these proven losers are being promoted to even more important roles.

Ha Ha.

Surely not....

Seen too many false dawns as an Evertonian, so I'm always wary.

Seriously, what has he actually done that's worthy of all the backlash to any criticism of him?

He's sacked an absolutely woeful manager which is something that I don't think is worthy of praise, it's what anyone would do. You could argue that he waited way too long. There's no way we should have gone to Wembley with Martinez in charge, especially after the Anfield debacle.

He's hired Koeman and Walsh. Time will tell if Koeman's good appointment. Remember when half the forum thought Martinez was the second coming chirst in 2014? I don't even know what Walsh actually does, it's not like he's finding us hidden gems like he did at Leciester. Gueye, Williams and Bolasie were all Premier League players and Valencia doesn't even look like a footballer.

In the summer we had a negative net spend and were seemingly sell to buy. Kenwright would have been absolutely slaughtered for that transfer window. A negative net spend with the amount of money in the game now plus his supposed 'investment' is beyond ridiculous and now we're short in several key positions across the pitch. I'm not going to even bother going into that Jim White fiasco.

Sorry but I honestly don't see that much of a difference between this fella and Kenwright.
