I know what a simile is mate. I just don't see the humour in that.

What next? Compare all the banned posters to the Jews in concentration camps?
Who said it was supposed to be funny/ a joke except yourself and Goat?

Dunno about that... That's a bit extreme... Using a cancer I suffered from as a simile to describe something as humourless is a bit different from comparing banned users off an Internet forum to the 6 million odd Jewish people who died in concentration camps... Anyway this is way off topic for too long. Best of luck mate!

indeed you did, Esk.

And you were sneered at by the guy interviewing you whom told you Everton were not "big enough to attract Koeman".

I distinctly remember suggesting to you that you call that programme again after Ronald had signed and popcorn the bugger ;)
Wasn't it Robbie Savage on a radio 5 phone in ?
Rings a bell .

He was never favourite according to you. Don't throw your toys out of the cot, you won't have any left after already having some taken away from you.
I'm going to try to objectively represent the facts, based upon my recollection, as this thread has turned personal.
@The Esk consistently and accurately maintained RK was the No 1 target. He was the first to mention the DOF, a position that had never previously existed and recently revealed that Mosh had paid off the debt when many, me included, were sceptical.
Those were 3 big calls. From what I've seen, the large majority of the other info he's provided ultimately proved to be misleading or inaccurate.
In relation to Usmanov, Esk articulated a case why he couldn't disentangle himself from Arsenal and join Moshiri which he hasn't yet done and may never do.
From recollection, Esk was very dismissive of an Usmanov EFC connection when people like @bluestevon posited, for me, compelling arguments why the Usbeki and the Mosh were likely in it together.
I think the FF sponsorship strongly suggests this dismissal was premature.

Yes, that's right.....Robbie Savage and another bloke.

It was the other bloke was trying to pipe Esk down with the Koeman comment.

But Robbie, to his credit, butted in to say that Everton are a "bigger club than Southampton" and it would be a move up for Koeman.

Koeman was certainly Moshiri's first choice and most Evertonians would have accepted that 3 weeks ago. However the search has widened and perhaps there's been the realisation that we're a more attractive proposition than we thought.

The Premier League is the street everyone wants to live in. We're the only house on offer, so it's much more of a buyer's market than the seller's. That's why we've been able to attract Monchi - the odds are that Emery will come along too. Koeman is no longer first choice through his own actions - hence the "over-played" card comment.
