Usmanov hasnt dropped a heap of cash our way, hes paid a fair price for sponsorship etc and an easy deal via his partner.

No holding company has sponsored a Premier League club and no one has sponsored a training ground as there's little value in it.

It's a novel way of funding. Whether it's circumnavigating rulings or even politics on Usmanov's part (Arsenal/Kroenke won't be too happy) is up for debate.

Yeah it's nothing excessive to warrant the celebrations of blues but I think that was done tongue in cheek as kopites are upset over better times ahead for Everton.

That is is Usmanov. That it is a big commercial deal out of the blue. That it is a holding company sponsoring our training ground as part of it is all peculiar.

It also places a direct commercial link between Usmanov and Moshiri's Everton.

It's a good deal and could be the first of more ties, who knows?
