Thats how i seen it at the time mate.

If done correctly and we maximise on Sponsorship Opportunities and the fact it'll be one of the biggest Arenas in the City, money made from stuff like this plus increased matchday revenue would cover the annual cost of the Stadium, which is exactly what we want.
The loan could easily be paid off yearly with these activities and Naming rights and other sponsorships used to fund recruitment

With respect mate, SunTanBob has grown the business massively over the last few years, are you suggesting we give that clown 5m a year?

And you would be absolutely right to state that mate. I think this is why we need to look at what has underpinned this (namely broadcast revenues) and thus focus upon none broadcast revenues. This is the area I would say a good CEO has the most direct impact upon.

I put a target of raising none broadcast revenues at 20% p/a. I would wager that pre Moshiri Elstone is around 20% in about 12 years for none broadcast revenues. I don't think he has demonstrated anywhere near the capability to grow a business as aggressively as we need. The 18 months that has followed I am also hugely doubtful he will be able to live up to those demands. My preference is for a CEO who has a history of growing revenues.

I have no idea how or why foreign ownership or any ownership for that matter, would make a difference to the club accounts, and unless you are a specialist accountant then neither do you .............

It has absolutely no bearing on what is included in the accounts. The legal entity is TEFC Limited and it is legally obliged to file its accounts under company law, showing it's balance sheet, profit & loss account and other statements. Whether the owner is based in England or elsewhere, the company has to provide the same accounting information.

And resides in Monaco! any particular reason other than the lovely weather?

No doubt he resides in Monaco because it is a tax haven which also happens to be a beautiful part of the world for the mega-rich.

However, as above, that is Moshiri's personal tax position (i.e. how he is taxed on his own income) and has no bearing on the club's profits, assets or accounts.

Did fantastically well at Leicester; comes here and the signings (Gueye aside) look either too young and raw or too expensive. I would say his method is being hindered by someone daft enough to go above their heads on players that they like, such as Klaassen and Sigurdsson.

Agree to an extent but Klassen, Williams, Rooney and Sig scream Koeman signings. He's obsessed with experience. Walsh is more the long term signings like Keane, Pickford, Sandro, Henry, Lookman and the U23 signings.

That's what I mean mate. He was probably left to have free rein at Leicester and so was able to see through a co-ordinated transfer strategy based on bringing in a core of experienced but cheapish talent.

I suspect that's wrecked here when others are just going above them and throwing £45M at a player we really had no burning need to bring in at that point.

It's clear the relationship between Koeman amd Walsh doesn't work. It's time FM showed some decisiveness and canned one or both.

I feel like Walsh is taking alot of the flak for Koeman and the board. Yes the squad is unbalanced and some of his buys were punts that haven't come off, but there's no way he bought all of those players and there's no way he didn't identify forwards and centre backs. Either Koeman knocked them back or the board couldn't secure them. We are a shambles.

I feel quite sorry for Walsh in all of this. He has a head strong manager below him who seems to be able to insist on decisions that don't seem to work to a plan. He then has incompetent negotiators above him who can't close the leads he or the manager identify. Many want to pin the blame on him, but for me he's the least problematic element of the club we have.

Moshiri is responsible for implementing a structure that clearly doesn't suit Koeman or Walsh. Either get rid of them and try again or change Walsh's remit or get rid of Koeman and give Walsh full power to decide on all recruitment.

As soon as he kept bill and more so Elstone the alarm bells started ringing. I hoped it was a temporary thing for a smooth transition but here we are bumbling from one window to the next with these two idiots still there.

Perhaps it was a condition of the investment?

Elstone has proven he's small time and not up to the job.

As for walsh, there's no way all the recruitment is just down to him. Moshiri said on talkSPORT that the players were koeman's. I got the impression he was saying 'we've backed him, now it's his job to start winning.'

Giroud has come out and said he almost joined during the Summer, obviously it was the Mosh's fault he didn't, seeing he is just playing being owner...

We were one player short of being a good team, sometimes you can do all you can but it doesn't come off. Let's see what happens in the January window.

I think so. He's not being helped either by being handed the grand title of Director of Football. He's a chief scout. He needs to work away in anonymity and not have the pressure of being the object of anger when players dont hit the ground running. It was a terrible decision from Moshiri to try and partner up a man like Walsh with an old war horse like Koeman. I suspect the latter welcomed the appointment because Walsh didn't have the gravitas for the role and he could be used.

It's looking like Mosh is Bill's money man. Nothing has really changed and until Bill goes from decisions of importance they won't.
