Even more than that comprehensive humbling at the hands of Arsenal, the most alarming image yesterday for me was Moshiri sat there with a bemused smile on his face clapping at the end of the game and looking like he was another one of Bill's actor mates drafted in to help him out of a tight spot.

In one moment the whole of the last 18 months looked like a fantastically spun piss take and any hope that we may improve on and off the field was crushed.

Like I said ages ago in this thread, he's just a business man. He has no reason to care about you or any other fan. His intentions here are to make tons and tons of glorious hard cash and nothing else. The only reason he'd want for Everton to be successful would be if it made him more money.

Put it this way: if you could, would you invest all of your own fortune in, say, Borussia Monchengladbach? You're not a BM fan and thus you never would truly care about their team's success. You'd invest a fortune in them as a club if and only if you could be relatively sure to make vast sums of money from it.

He obviously feels like he's losing cash / got the potential to lose a lot more cash which is, in my opinion, the only reason Koeman's been sacked. His face was bemused and emotionless because he doesn't care (at least directly) about Koeman's feelings or the fans' feelings. He cares about managing his investment so that it makes him a tidy return.

Go hard Chris, but go fair, unlike him on Moshiri.

Not sure it's a case of I'm not fair. More a case of usually being wrong tbh. If I'm wrong again then great. I thought martinez and Koeman were both the right appointments and blatantly they weren't. So if I'm wrong on Moshiri being incompetent then great again. But this is the biggest challenge he's faced. He has to pick the right manager now. Today is a good step in the right direction.

This will determine a lot.

Like you I thought Koeman was the right man, steady everything put us on a bit of springboard for a better manager to take us to the next level.

But he went all Koeman at Valencia and lost the pot. It’s up to Mosh now and it’ll be interesting to see how it develops

He's done the right thing here. He's been unimpressive so far though.

The squad spending outside of recycled players is only about £10M more than what we could have expected under Kenwright if he'd been in charge the past 18 months and the stadium is barely moving ahead.

If he wants to get a profit out of this club he'll have to start making significant progress on BMD.

If Tuchel came in and won a trophy and was a bit of a pain for the board I'd take that. It's what he did at Dortmund.

Not arsed if he upset the board, some reports I read from Dortmund fans seemed to be split on his style of play, from overly cautious to one dimensional.

Now, personally I’ve not seen enough of him and his team to give my view, but I know you like the arl German footy. Attack minded like Klopp with more defensive brain? Or Fat Rafael, defence comes first and a point is better than nothing?
