I would still have a season ticket even if we were relegated to League Two. That's just the way we blues are. These barren years haven't been easy, though. The fact that the RS have won everything bar the league since we last won ANYTHING has certainly compounded things.

Anyone got the net numbers on how much we've spent on transfers since he's been here? Pretty sure it puts us in the top 6 but people still moan? It wasn't a million years ago the most we could expect from a transfer window was a couple of loans, and where our best players would be sold at the last minute and the money never to be seen again. People need to get a grip. There's the big 7 and then us. To bridge that gap will take time, just as it took Spurs several managers and constant spending. It also took them 7 years to get that new stadium, they were in legal disputes about the land for years

Errm goat, moshiri wasn't there when we bought Lukaku.

Most of those figures are between 2-5m higher than the actual ones too.

You're right, but he was never going to do an Abramovich. By Premier League standards he's not that wealthy.

Nobody is going to do an Abramovich again.

His reported wealth isn't that high no, but if you believe that reported wealth he has already put over 1/3 of his net worth into the club. Either his net worth as reported by Forbes etc is way off the mark or it isn't his money.

big 7 plus us? fummme.

Sure that was a typo but your post is spot on. As i keep saying, regardless of how much we're spending, the top 6 are buying players that equal the value of our record transfer on a regular basis now. Look at the RS, it's been a slow building process for them, they've been spending £100m a season for about a decade and still not won anything, only the last two years have they been getting back to top 4 regulars.

Alisson, Van Dijk, Fabinho, Keita, oxlaide-chamberlain, salah, mane, firminho are all worth double/around the same as what we paid for siggy and richarlison. All the rest of our players cost around £20-£25m mark - that's what they've spent on 4th/5th choice players like lallana, lovren and this was even before the price hike.

But we more than matched them and they're top, we just need out fans to start looking at all the positives instead of focusing on just the negatives as a lot seem to be doing on here.
