There are still be people who will back him no matter what. We’re finished as a competitive outfit in this league.

Yep definitely.

Said it a while ago the only way to progress in the PL now is with a massively wealthy owner who doesnt care for FFP or being state backed where they can sponser your club to millions to get around FFP.

If Newcastle where to effectively take that final european spot 7th what would be the point anymore in this league as all the other 13 clubs would just be fighting to stay up every year.

I would honestly rather be in the Championship and atleast be able to compete for the title / playoffs.

Shinawatra found City the Sheikhs despite being banged up by the authorities

Mike Ashley is hated by Newcastle fans yet found the Sheikhs

Meanwhile Big Blue Blood Best Evertonian in der land couldn't find a buyer unless they allowed him to stay on as chairman.

Couldn't make it up!
Careful what you wish for, the
does this guy actually have any cash? He tried to buy Liverpool and was laughed out of town
im happy with what we have at the moment, something about Arabs makes me uneasy,

Everton were a bigger club in every sense up until 1970. Look at the respective stadiums in 1970. look at honours won until 1970. Look at the 1970 world cup squad include Gordon West who pulled out. Think of Dixie Dean? Sadly 1971 defined us. Catterick became ill, we lost two pivotal games in a week Panathonikas and Liverpool. Then it did fall apart to be honest, the stadium was left to fester and money wasted on players time after time. The mid eighties gave us glory and that was taken from us by both Heysel and I would also say the final following Hillsborough which I dont think Liverpool should have played. I do blame blue Bill for the stagnation and the way we became a selling club and how that incentivised the manager.
most of it:)

But there wouldn't be much point in gaining promotion if all you'd want to do is play in the championship, ideally we'd want to finish 7th in the Champ to avoid potential promotion.

Maybe Hatton can persuade Corbyn to nationalise us if he becomes PM. Dream team! We would never play again as all non playing staff would be home by 1.00pm.

I wonder now Newcastle look to become Man City MrkII if Moshiri will have doubts about spending big money now?

I imagine any hope of crashing the top 4/6 will be gone if the Geordies do what City have done.

Wouldn't be shocked if he sells up as soon as the stadium planning permission / funding is in place.
