From that article from the application we can't mention....him and Brands wanted Silva to stay but something had to be done.
Reading between the lines it does seem Silva threw in the towel when they talked to him, which isnt surprising with his past employment. So both agreed to fire him.
There's some integrity to that imo. They invested in him and gave him chances.
However, it still doesn't disguise the bad job Silva was doing and how he was over his head.
