He is a multi billionaires financial accounts guru , but posters on here think that he has baked brains for beans. I despair. We have Ancelotti in the dugout , planning permission in for a state of the art ground . Ever wondered where we would be without him ?
Truly unbelievable, I’m almost certain there used to be a website dedicated to when Everton last signed a player, for a transfer fee, that was first team ready.

This is the same fan base, who to this day, still ask where the Arteta money is?

Crazy.

Dont let facts get in the way of a good story.

We have spent hundreds of millions and gotten worse. That's ridiculous to write but perfectly true. There's been no clear strategy in terms of recruitment. Getting Ancelotti is great but why then did he pick mediocre duffers before?

Ref the ground we have put in a planning application and agreed a lease on a bit of a dock (subject to conditions). Let's wait til work starts before celebrating a new stadium.

You seem to be glossing over that it's not an exact science. Just cause you spend money does not equal success. If that was so utd would be walking away with the title now and their starting point was a million miles ahead of ours.

There appears to be reasonable thought process in to the appointments but who you want and who wants to come are two different things and Walsh went all kid in a sweetshop which he was rightly fired for.

Rome wasn't built in a day.

Facts are mate, that the guy has been doing his best and injecting money in to try and improve us.
It hasn't always been spent in the best way , and he has been let down by his "football people".
That said , we would be right up a certain creek without him.
We should be glad that we have him.
This poll is frankly embarrassing !.

True, but better at least to be on the positive side.
It's embarrassing, should be 80% minimum.

He's trusted people to run this club, appointed managers with their advice and it's backfired, he's not done one thing wrong while he's been here.

The fella has learnt his lesson, I understand appointing Koeman, he was highly regarded, his stock was high and it was a coup to get him, Silva was more of a gamble, but he's wiped his mouth and thought F'ck this, I'm getting a proper top draw manager in, and done it.

All Moshiri has shown me is he wants the very best for Everton, there have been bumps in the road but we are right on track now, world class manager and a mega billionaire paving the way in the press to make his involvement official, bringing more investment to the club that can make us compete with the elite in the future.

We’ve got a top class manager and seemingly a stadium on the way. Now he has to deliver the stadium and the resources for Ancelotti to make us competitive. I don’t doubt his ambition. I think he has maybe got too many people in his ear, hence appearing to veer from one strategy to another manager wise.

What are the strategies he’s gone from and to? He has always wanted the best for the club and himself.

He mentions manager wise mate

Martinez to Koeman
Koeman to Allardyce
Allardyce to Silva
Silva to Ancelotti

Not one manager plays a similar way so it seems he went from one extreme to the other. In fact the only thing the above 3 (except Ancelotti) had in common were plenty of defeats.

I think that I understand the thought process behind the managerial appointments.
Martinez was a busted flush and had to go.
Koeman was highly rated after his performance at Southampton (he was actually favourite for the Barcelona job towards the end of his first season with us).
After the summer spending farce ( Walsh !) , everything nosedived and he was sacked.
BFS was brought in to ensure our survival , which he achieved (albeit in an unacceptable style). He was therefore potted.
Silva was a swing and miss on an optimistic gamble on a young manager.
He has now splurged more money , and got a top notch , proven coach.

He wanted Silva straight after Koeman but it couldn't happen, I think Allrdyce would've had to win the FA Cup to have kept his job, he was never part of any stratergy other than keeping us up after the Koeman mess. He wasn't responsible for Martinez, Silva I can see why he wanted him, he was impressive at Watford until we turned his head, but he ultimately wasn't good enough, that happens. Ancelloti being Everton manager proves his ambition, some opposing fans use his wage as a stick to beat us with, I think it shows our ambition. No other new PL owner has showed the ambition or backed the club like Moshiri has since FFP became a real thing.

I'm not disagreeing with you mate, I just think we've gone from the Koemans/Silva of this world to suddenly hitting the jackpot with a true world class manager. For that I 100% praise Moshiri for making it happen.

Koemans end he didn't have a clue how to set us up

Silva didn't have a clue in the end what he was doing

Reason being they simply weren't good enough

Ancelotti might not win us a trophy, might not get us top 4, it what he will do i am absolutely certain is give us an identity, have us playing football the right way, improve the players already here and bring in players we probably thought would never look at us.

So now (imo) it feels like there is a plan, there is a strategy and for me personally, the manager is absolutely vital in getting the wheels in motion to the above.

I've nothing to do with the poll. And of course his involvement with us is to be welcomed. Likewise I'm not saying Moshiri has tried to achieve anything other than success.

What I'm saying it's just pure bloody Everton that we finally get a billionaire owner and he turns out to be a bit crap.

Signing multiple no.10s that year inc Rooney solely to please Kenwright, putting faith in likes of Koeman, Allardyce and Silva when their records were non-existent. Of course I'm over the moon we've got Ancellotti now just it's a bloody shame we've had to live through such waste and garbage.

You can try and excuse him by saying he's been let down by his football people. The counter argument is it's his judgement that picked those people and his failure to address issues sooner.

Look hopefully in a year or two we'll be on a better track and can look back and laugh.
