Sky have to pay their contractual duties whatever happens to their subscribers.

Amazon provided us with a glimpse of what was to come on Boxing Day... every game will be available on tv soon and that will spin even more money into the game.

Those at the top table will be feasting on the riches... that’s why Usmanov is onboard.
How long is left on the sky contact. Last time they bid less. Was Amazon £9.99 to watch one game. I'm being told you can get every game on IPTV for less than a tenner. If true that will make big inroads on the money available

You could see that coming.

Our wages to turnover ratio must be about 75%

Lets wait to see the actual figures of how bad it is.
Honestly started to completely ignore newspapers these days

"Everton record massive losses" sells more papers/gets more clicks than an Everton success story

He went from a big name manager in Koeman, with an emphasis on signing experienced players, to a young, unproven manager in Silva and the emphasis very much swung towards young players and cutting the wage bill. Now I’m guessing we’ll be buying players at their peak again so seems like a 180 to me.

According to the media he did sound out Simeone and Ancelotti in the past. Like I said, not doubting his ambition but he has tried vastly contrasting approaches. I exclude Big Sam as he was a panic appointment.

Koeman had a big name from his playing days but as a manager he had done nothing of any real note. More big league experience than Silva but nothing to mark him out as the man to lead us into a new era.

It's hard to argue Moshiri has had any clear strategy.

You have a good friend who tells you a lot about this IPTV ! The truth is it is free if it buffers but it it would be great if you could buy match by match or for your own teams matches and not everything type deals .I have almost no interest in other games and don't ever sit and watch a match that doesn't have Everton on the pitch .Too many other things to do but I would relish the chance to watch Everton in HD and willingly pay for it .

Look at what Amazon are doing in the US with the NFL games. They are following the same route with the premiere league.

Amazon can afford to take a loss in order to win the football from sky as it's part of their bigger plan for domination. Not really a loss either as I'm pretty sure they make about 75% of their profit from data centres.

Amazon just want everyone to be using prime, I doubt they could care less about the PL but it’s a great way to sign up potentially millions of new customers for them. If it stayed around a tenner a month I’m all for it.

He's the only good friend I have. He's my parish priest who supports me when I am down usually most Saturdays or sundays!!!

Hang on, are we going to record a record loss of £13 million and people are acting like we've lost 130 or am I reading this wrongly?

The problem with this is it would harm Everton and less prominent clubs. If games are sold off on a club by club basis then we’ll end up with the money being split much more down the lines of who pays for which game
