He wanted Silva straight after Koeman but it couldn't happen, I think Allrdyce would've had to win the FA Cup to have kept his job, he was never part of any stratergy other than keeping us up after the Koeman mess. He wasn't responsible for Martinez, Silva I can see why he wanted him, he was impressive at Watford until we turned his head, but he ultimately wasn't good enough, that happens. Ancelloti being Everton manager proves his ambition, some opposing fans use his wage as a stick to beat us with, I think it shows our ambition. No other new PL owner has showed the ambition or backed the club like Moshiri has since FFP became a real thing.

Mate what exactly did Silva do at Watford that warranted the faith in him plus all the hassle of an interim bloody Sam Allardyce. Silva doesnt rate on any scale relative to Ancellotti. There are leagues between them.

Football is always about the finest of margins and being lucky. If Marco Silva had got his share of luck this season, he would probably still be our manager yet here we are.

Fair play to Moshiri, the appointment of Ancelotti is one hell of a coup for the club. I'm still skeptical about how it will all end up but I can't deny the owner is doing all he can to make us successful. We are due a bit of luck, hopefully we get some over the coming months and years.

What are the strategies he’s gone from and to? He has always wanted the best for the club and himself.
He went from a big name manager in Koeman, with an emphasis on signing experienced players, to a young, unproven manager in Silva and the emphasis very much swung towards young players and cutting the wage bill. Now I’m guessing we’ll be buying players at their peak again so seems like a 180 to me.

According to the media he did sound out Simeone and Ancelotti in the past. Like I said, not doubting his ambition but he has tried vastly contrasting approaches. I exclude Big Sam as he was a panic appointment.

If he just keeps his mouth shut from now on everyone should be more pleased than disappointed, Ancelotti and the new stadium shows he means business, just shut your cakehole Mosh.

I think that I understand the thought process behind the managerial appointments.
Martinez was a busted flush and had to go.
Koeman was highly rated after his performance at Southampton (he was actually favourite for the Barcelona job towards the end of his first season with us).
After the summer spending farce ( Walsh !) , everything nosedived and he was sacked.
BFS was brought in to ensure our survival , which he achieved (albeit in an unacceptable style). He was therefore potted.
Silva was a swing and miss on an optimistic gamble on a young manager.
He has now splurged more money , and got a top notch , proven coach.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha.

It was all part of a master plan.

FFS.

We’ve got a top class manager and seemingly a stadium on the way. Now he has to deliver the stadium and the resources for Ancelotti to make us competitive. I don’t doubt his ambition. I think he has maybe got too many people in his ear, hence appearing to veer from one strategy to another manager wise.
Also people in his ear to hire people like Moyes and Howe, this has been our problem until now, get a manager in who has no track record.

Hopefully this stops, because if Carlo can’t turn us round then no one will

Am I wrong. But I don't remember in depth analysis of Chelsea, Man city spending or s major financial story about when Liverpool nearly went bust.
I think all clubs not just Everton will be hit hard when the sky money is hit hard. Think this is happening now as i.know loads who are switching to this IPTV which costs buttons in comparison to sky, by etc

They earn money from networks all over the world paying for rights not just sky

However premier league netflix style subscription service would generate billions I would welcome it

Complete speculation.

We will unlikely spend big because its January not because we are skint.

Another case of the media conjuring their own story and using 2+2 to explain it.

Are you not pleased that the finances of the club are being examined? Plenty of clubs that haven’t have suddenly gone bust. We should know where the money comes from and what risk it opens our club to - not just blindly accept the narrative that we’re rich because we want to be thr next City

Sky have to pay their contractual duties whatever happens to their subscribers.

Amazon provided us with a glimpse of what was to come on Boxing Day... every game will be available on tv soon and that will spin even more money into the game.

Those at the top table will be feasting on the riches... that’s why Usmanov is onboard.

Yep but sky pay the most.
Don't know much about IPTV but a mates pays about £8 a month for it. Used to pay £130 for sky and by. So will sky continue to pay their massive contract to the premier league

I like knowing most of my games are at 3pm, I like the ritual with other match day friends and family that’s existed for decades. Don’t want it sold off to appease non match going fans.

IPTV has grown massively but it can be quite technical and theres many people who just want to get home and put the tele on without it freezing or for whatever reason not working

Plus someone has to pay for sky somewhere otherwise there would no channels to stream
