One thing I will say is we have thrown cash at it. Its not worked so far though, we have had too much of a scattergun approach and turned over managers too quickly, we've got players now that the manager doesn't want, on so much money, no one will take them off us.
It really needs to work under Carlo, or I don't know what we do

Lets be honest - if we stuck 2 fingers up to ffp and won an FA Cup or two with some top players but were hit with a 2 year European ban and fine who would be arsed?

Not me one bit.

If we cant succeed within the corrupt rules do a City and break them.

Not like we have much to lose finishing midtable every season is there.

If it takes something like tonight with them lot firing thunder kings out of their backsides for us to start doing far better long term & the mentality to start to change then I’ll take it. We need to look at ourselves in future, otherwise what’s the point? Just existed for far too long.

They won the Champions League last year and it had no impact upon us. Unfortunately, we've squandered a fortune and ended up with a starting XI which includes Iwobi.

For us to compete at the top we need a complete overhaul yet again. I just can't see it happening. It'd be nice to think Ancelotti can improve players but he can't work miracles with some of the dross we have within the ranks.

He has to give us another cash injection. We need huge investment to turn us around. It’s pointless having Ancelotti on board if he isn’t given the money to compete.
I disagree , we can’t continue throwing money at new purchases in the hope we may suddenly chance upon a successful combination.
Building a team takes time and stability. Surely the point of bringing in an outstandingly successful coach is that he can create a winning team without the aid of profligate spending but rather by utilising his talent and experience?

You seriously expect Ancelotti to make this squad into a competitive outfit? We’ve got about three good players.

We gave money to the wrong managers and that’s why we’re in this mess. We now have a world class manager and we simply have to back him or we will continue to tread water.

To an extent but you've still got to go out and buy quality footballers. Look at Liverpool. They've spent a lot of money but they've spent it well.

My biggest issue is the ridiculous purchases like Iwobi in the summer. It was just so needless and has had zero impact on how we've played this year. A classic example of spending money for the sake of it.

Best case scenario he could get this current squad to put a decent run together and threaten the top 5. That's the absolutely peak though with players we've got on the books now finding form none of us think they're capable of.

It does have a impact mate, with success and the financial rewards the winning teams expand the clubs appeal all around. Those successful Teams are more than likely to improve year on year whilst others possibly stagnate, have less appeal to players, better commercial deals and so on. We haven’t progressed much in recent years on the pitch, too much one step forward and two or three back scenarios.

Seriously and I hate to say it. How many of those players would get into the RS starting eleven. Moshiri can't be blamed for that

Yes I do , if he’s the manager his record suggests.
Great managers create great teams out of mostly average players it is what marks them out from the rest.
We have to give him time to do this , it almost certainly won’t happen next season but perhaps the season after is when we should expect to see signs of success.
Or perhaps he will prove to be merely a chequebook manager after all?
As ever, time will tell.
