I couldn’t care less about what you said in previous posts, I already know you were a casual supporter from posts long ago. I bet you still care enough to come on GOT and defend Billy Boy.

What about TM. Care enough to elaborate about that?
What do you mean elaborate?

New Everton (TM) as in trademark. This is where I think we are going. What do you want me to elaborate on? A new Everton that I have no real connection with.

Is the casual supporter thing supposed to be an insult?

I wont be defending anyone, they are all complicit in this.

Why do so many posters throw out...

If not Benitez then Potter....or Howe...or Allardyce...or some other manager known in the english mainstream media they dont like?

Theres a world out there...id have been impressed if the thinking was somewhat logical.

Why didnt he hire Benitez years ago if he rated him so highly?

Because those are the ones we have either contacted or are liked by the board. As I say I believe we would have looked further or Brands would have dropped names but they have a) turned us down or b) Moshiri doesn't want a Frank de Boer situation at Palace or to a lesser extent Emery at Arsenal where a continental manager who appears successful comes in but find it hard to adapt.

We can all see why we didn't hire Benitez previously, I believe it's a last resort now based on the others they could get.

Ancelotti's Everton played 3 brands of football last season.

At the start when we were winning.
In the middle after injuries
The end when doucoure was out

He openly said that he would play more attack minded next season -- no doubt after putting half the squad under the guillotine.

Has Moshiri decided he likes the football Ancelotti was about to move us on from?

Even at that start we were not dominant. We were a counter attacking side with confidence, that's the difference between going to Spurs and winning 1-0 and getting beat by relegating fodder at home later on when we had none. Injuries can account for some of it but there were plenty of games where we had the lot in and we still played dire. Nothing to say we can't be the former under Benitez, it's the best outcome we can hope for.

Casual supporter, you said yourself you were a casual supporter. TM, I didn’t know what it meant, Billy Boy wasn’t complicit in Benitez coming, he was against it because he could see the reaction that followed. By the way, how often did you casually come and watch the team? Just out of casual interest, I hope you understand.

I started going in the 80s and went every week until around 2002. Had a season ticket for 13 years or so of that time. Nowadays I don't go the match often for a couple of reasons, the main one being I have a condition that means I am in extreme agony if I stay on one position for longer than 10 minutes so I cant really do the sitting in plastic seats stuff any more. That combined with a general malaise regarding football in general led me to stop going. The pain isn't worth the outcome I suppose.

I do get to the odd corporate game (more comfortable seats, easier to move around and have a stretch) but realistically due to health my match going days are behind me (I'm only early 40's by the way!)

With things being that way I had no choice but to watch every game online and would always plan my life around that but I can pull back on that a bit too now hence going more "casual".

I'll give him a tiny bit of credit, he obviously doesn't care in the slightest what the supporters think of him by constantly choosing the wrong manager.

Daft tit.
This was always going to happen when we got buisness man for an owner, we got lucky with Kenwright, he was one of us, this guy isnt.
