He is living proof of the old saying that if Kenwright hadn't been a Blue he would have been legged out of Goodison with pitchforks.

Three failed ground moves

Sell to buy

Taking us to the brink of financial oblivion

Selling Rooney + Arteta to pay the banks

Stopping fans having a voice at AGM's

Yet clapped on the big screen

Meanwhile Moshiri:

Building us a £500+ million world class stadium on the docks and personally financing a part of it out his own pocket

Invested £450+ million into player signings

Yet is hounded because he hired Benitez & Brands/Walsh wasted the money he kindly gave them to spend

I think he's hounded because he does things like be best mates with Jim White and says things like "James McCarthy is family" to be fair.

Really? He‘s made some bad recruitment decisions in the past. But he’s put money into the club, unfortunately we’ve absolutely spunked it, which has set us back as regards FFP, massively. But with the stadium on the horizon & it having to be paid for, not to mention the bad signings we’ve had to pay out for, austerity measures were always gonna happen. If he were to ‘get out of this club’, It frightens me as to what would happen next. He has the backing of Usmanov in the background too with his financial clout. Pretty scary scenario if Moshiri was to go. We’re in for an extremely rocky ride the next few years & someone like Benitez in charge is needed in my opinion. Strong manager tactically, to make the most of what we have & experienced. Who, realistically, could we get who’s better? We’re not gonna attract a top manager like Conte & a less experienced manager with potential would be a massive gamble. Scary times.

Are you actually joking? Scary if Moshiri leaves the club? On his watch we are on the verge of seriously breaching financial regulations which could possibly lead to a points deduction or transfer ban, he has appointed pretty much nothing but clowns and had to shell out about £50m in compensation for sacking them, he’s now landed us with a manager that half the fans despise and had created a new level of toxicity within the fanbase which is about to spill into the ground on a match day, he’s rewarded of the club’s greatest failures in Marcel Brands with a lucrative new deal. He is about as reckless and dangerous an owner as it gets. We will be relegated under him in the next 5-10 years if he’s not chased out.

"£450mil invested into player signings"

If we sold Richarlison in Jan for £100mil and then spent £100mil on new players you could say;

"£550mil invested into player signings"

Why dont we look at £40mil annual net spend instead?

£40m annually is pretty sizable tbh. If you increase the value of the squad by £40m every year for 5 years you'd certainly expect to be in a much better position we're in.

lol

Arsenal are miles ahead of Everton as a club.

Dildo Brothers invest the bare minimum and took their club from a proper footba ground to that giant mess of an Olympic Stadium which their fanbase largely all hate in order to line their pockets.

Moshiri on the other hand has spent more money on BMD including financing a portion of it himself when it would have been cheaper to have moved to a different less glamorous site or even stayed at GP.

Yep
Agree 100% with that mate

Cos its not 40m annual net spend.

He hasnt just given us money to buy players, our wage bill has gone from 86m to 162m, due to his interest-free loans and his deals with USM.

Up to now his investment into Everton is close to 800m.

Which is an annual net spend of 180m.

Yes, it would be scary if Moshiri was to sell. Financially, he’s backed us, as I alluded to. I seem to recall the fans being happy with Walsh, with Brands, with Koeman (at the time) with Carlo. The fact all that money was wasted is the reason we are where we are. We gambled it all on finishing Top 4. Yeah, he’s made bad decisions but hindsight is a wonderful thing. He’s backed us & he’s going ahead with the Stadium. He‘s also got Usmanov in the background quietly funding it. So, yeah, it would be scary if he were to sell up to new owners that mightn’t even be interested in a new stadium. And who could blame them? Over 500m in costs + buying the club + funding on the pitch? Over £1billion, if someone was stupid enough to take all that on, there’s better propositions out there. Going ahead with the new stadium AND have very good team? IMO it’s one or the other, we can’t have both. And I want the new Stadium. Unfortunately, we have to go with what we have. If we were to give the Stadium up & the new buyers were to invest in the team, would you prefer that? As I say, I’m not sure we can have both investments now.
