Fun theory Eggs but it begs the question of why as the majority shareholder he wouldn't be able to remove DBB , Brands and Kenwright. Legally relatively simple.…..I have a theory, an unlikely theory but here goes;
There was a power base at Board level that Moshiri could not shift from top down - Kenwright, DBB & Brands. Moshiri wanted somebody in who could change things from bottom up. He wasn’t after stability on the pitch (as I thought), he was after instability off it.
He needed a deceitful and confrontational manager who would work to his agenda & clear out the ones he didn’t want. He acquired Benitez and asked him to set about that task.
It’s a clever theory but I doubt Moshiri is a clever strategist. It’s probably just that Benitez is horrible.
Oh it would cost money but a hell of a lot less than employing this clown Benitez and risking the whole investment when / if he takes us down .....and that is inevitable if he remains in charge throughout this / next season.
