But thats the point mate, he did luck out, but sometimes you have to make your own luck, he gave Moyes a chance, and time, none of this sacking managers ever two minutes like Moshiri has, he also had a clear plan with the little money we had available, and it did work.

"We would have been in League One under Kenwrights regime." we never once looked like going down under Kenwright, the season we came 4th from bottom we were safe with weeks to go.

See I cant work out if you think Moshiri is good or still have grudge against Kenwright?

I've said repeatedly mate Im 50/50 on Moshiri - he's done some good, hes done some bad.

Good:

BMD
Invested money in players
8th, 8th, 10th finishes in the league

Bad:

Trigger happy sacking managers

Trusting the wrong people (BK, Brands)

Ultimately when it comes to owners/managers - fans have a dream ideal of what they should look like and you're seeing it now with Lampard:

Young
British
Plays on the front foot

Then the reality hits when we've won 1 in 5 and get tonked 5-0 by Spurs - there is no easy fix.

Its the same with the owner - Moshiri goes who comes in thats going to have us competing for the top 6 whilst posting healthy profits on the books?

Its your typical "I can do that with me bleedin eyes shut" mentality of football fans.

We shouldn’t get sucked into a “who was better Kenwright or Moshiri” pissing contest, they are both terrible owners in different ways and neither should be anywhere near the club. But what I will say is Moshiri has done more harm to the long term future of the club in his 6 years than Kenwright did by a long long way.

Different times.

???!?!?!?!?!?

So you expect any higher than 8th at present? What new owner is able to offer that whilst staying in the realms of FFP and ensuring our accounts are nice and healthy.

As @EverTheOptimist will glady tell you, both Man City and Chelsea stack up losses without their owners pumping millions in and that started largely before FFP was introduced - Chelsea recorded massive losses at the start of Romans tenure but no FFP existed then so it was all good.

Leicester are the only club thats managed to achieve some kind of meaningful success and lets be honest you'll never likely see another Leicester success story again and post PL title win they have spent a lot of money:

Slimani: £30 million
Perez: £30 million
Tielemans: £40-45 million
Fofana: £35+ million
Daka: £35+ million
Soumare: £30+ million
Maddison: £25 million
Castagne: £20 million
Ndidi: £15-20 million

but managed to recoup that by conning Utd into nearly £85 millions for that donkey Maguire and bringing in revenue from that title win / CL run.

No one can argue Moshiri is perfect but you have to accept that unless a Shiekh Mansour pops up to buy us there is no quick fix for a once huge club historically speaking, with a fanbase desperate for success in a world/league that puts huge obstacles in terms of rules in favour of a select few clubs which we are not part of.

Why have you included 8th, 8th and 10th placed finishes as positives (after spending £500m), yet you haven’t included this season and our potential relegation in the negatives column? Why haven’t you included appointing Rafael Benitez in the negatives column? You’re a mess.

Also why are you tagging in previously banned known kopite multis like @EverTheOptimist to back up your points? Not a great look at all for you this.

City circumnavigated theirs massive losses after the first censuring by UEFA which for some reason Infantino gave them a £8 million fine instead of banning them and PSG for 2 years 6-7 years ago when he was UEFA boss, City and PSG owners just kept increasing the owner linked commercial deals to put them in profit.

Anyway this is the funding of Abramovich, Chelsea were as far away as a self sustaining club that City are, City;s claims they are self reliant is laughable PR garbage, Chelsea relied on average of Abramovich putting in £75-80 million a year into the club, City have £220 million per year of their owner putting money in every season through owner linked commercial deals., to be fair Abramovich never used any companies he had links to to plug those financial holes.

Anyway Swiss ramble posted this yesterday on his Twitter, he's done a really detailed thread on the state of Chelsea's finances, 2019 he put in an astounding £247 million into the club.

Because they are ultimately positives based on the current playing squad.

We can talk about money spent but the reality is the players brought are simply not good enough for top 6/7.

This squad is a shambles and people slate Benitez but I guarantee in 18 months time Lampard wont be in a job at EFC likewise whoever replaces him wont be in a job for long if these players are still knocking about.

What are you going on about? Chelsea FC owes Roman Abramovich more than one billion pounds...

It’s still possible that he could save his reputation. If we survive relegation (out of his control), get the stadium built, and navigate through FFP issues. From that point he controls the direction we move in, does he learn from his past mistakes, or does he carry on in the stupid manner he has been? I doubt it.
