Because they are ultimately positives based on the current playing squad.

We can talk about money spent but the reality is the players brought are simply not good enough for top 6/7.

This squad is a shambles and people slate Benitez but I guarantee in 18 months time Lampard wont be in a job at EFC likewise whoever replaces him wont be in a job for long if these players are still knocking about.

But we didn’t finish 8th with this current playing squad? We are 17th and 1 point off the drop zone? So can this season be added to your negatives column?

So you expect any higher than 8th at present? What new owner is able to offer that whilst staying in the realms of FFP and ensuring our accounts are nice and healthy.

As @EverTheOptimist will glady tell you, both Man City and Chelsea stack up losses without their owners pumping millions in and that started largely before FFP was introduced - Chelsea recorded massive losses at the start of Romans tenure but no FFP existed then so it was all good.

Leicester are the only club thats managed to achieve some kind of meaningful success and lets be honest you'll never likely see another Leicester success story again and post PL title win they have spent a lot of money:

Slimani: £30 million
Perez: £30 million
Tielemans: £40-45 million
Fofana: £35+ million
Daka: £35+ million
Soumare: £30+ million
Maddison: £25 million
Castagne: £20 million
Ndidi: £15-20 million

but managed to recoup that by conning Utd into nearly £85 millions for that donkey Maguire and bringing in revenue from that title win / CL run.

No one can argue Moshiri is perfect but you have to accept that unless a Shiekh Mansour pops up to buy us there is no quick fix for a once huge club historically speaking, with a fanbase desperate for success in a world/league that puts huge obstacles in terms of rules in favour of a select few clubs which we are not part of.
For what we’ve spent, we damn sure should have been much much higher in the league and won something. 8th-10th is not something to laud over

Its the same with the owner - Moshiri goes who comes in thats going to have us competing for the top 6 whilst posting healthy profits on the books?

Its your typical "I can do that with me bleedin eyes shut" mentality of football fans.
Which is Moshiri's mentality. He has the money to hire in the expertise. He does not need to be so hands on. I cannot admit to knowing how to run a football club, but if I had the money and wanted a "hobby", I would bring in the expertise to do it properly (or try to anyway).

Exactly - he covers the losses.

Moshiri has done the exact same at Everton.

So we now owe Moshiri close to a billion pound in exchange for giving us the worst squad of players I’ve seen in my lifetime, seeing off 7 managers and potentially relegating us for the first time in our post-war history? Wow thanks Mosh, not all heroes wear capes.

At least Abramovich has given Chelsea their most successful period of their entire existence in exchange for the debt they now owe him.

And he’s writing that off to sell them instead of calling it in

Well maybe if you're nice to him Mosh will write off the debt owed to him.

Maybe biting the hands that feeds you and being a d.ck towards him might not be the brightest idea?

What? He hasn’t done anything for me, I don’t owe him anything.

Not you personally but the fanbase in general would be wiser in not attacking the bloke who has the club by the balls financially.

Mike Ashley buzzed off Newcastle fans who were abusing him for over a decade and he only ended up selling them because the Covid pandemic hit his pockets hard.

Dont bite the hand that feeds you.

What are you on about? The man is financially crippling this club, we are now staring down the barrel of a points deduction which some of us called months and months ago. How is that “feeding” us?

The fans will regret standing by crossing their fingers for a stadium that will never happen, rather than making a serious and sustained stand against this poisonous cretin and all of the Russian blood money debt he has racked up on behalf of our football club. Relegation finishes any prospects of this stadium too.
