If this sort of thinking were to take hold, then the same would apply to us...
Why? mosh is ‘clean’ in the grand scheme of things. His money comes from association with Russian businesses but the oligarchs are getting it because the money want there’s to begin with and they retain it largely on the whim on Putin (see Khodorkovsky and Berezovsky).
Mosh’s investments may take a hit from the sanctions but they were ‘earned’ post the fall of Soviet Union.
He (and therefore we)no more at risk than the CEOs of BP etc who invested in Rosneft etc

Again with the gulf state, Leicester aren’t owned by a gulf state yet have won both the league and the FA Cup in the 6 years Moshiri has been here

Leicester are owned by a company with close links to the Thailand Royal Family - hence the "King Power" Stadium.

And Leicester is a one in a million situation - you may as well hope to win the euro millions than expect Everton to do what they managed.

On one hand you uncritically support Moshiri because you, king of ambition, actually yearn for a future where Everton win the league
On the other hand you say that it's impossible to actually get to the top of the league unless we get a gulf state owner

If you really believe the second part, then surely you agree that it's better to want a competent owner rather than the one relegating us in 6 short years.

I didnt know we were relegated.

News to me.

There are NO potential long term positives. The long term future of the club is in the mud thanks to this crook and his cronies like Kia Joorabchian. The stadium isn’t happening, we are teetering on the brink of points deductions and his investment stream has been severed, even if we stay up this season it’s a matter of time before we’re asset stripped and subsequently relegated.

Relegation means no stadium, but the stadium is not the magic ticket to success you seem to think it is either. It adds value to the club in order for Moshiri to demand a higher price when he sells, that’s about it. We’re not going to have Sheikhs fighting over us because we’ve got a new stadium like you seem to think will happen.

Nothing short of a miracle or at least a sustained period of luck will save us from what this idiot has brought upon us. “Success” isn’t what I’m after at this point, I just want my club to exist.

Yet only yesterday you laughed at me saying finishing 8th/8th/10th under Moshiri was a positive.

I honestly dont get you lad you seem to want success then in the same token expect success with no financial risks attached and squeeky clean accounts posting healthy profits - you cant spend CL money without CL revenue yet you cant get CL without spending CL money its a vicious cycle.

The top 6 clubs are sorted in this regard with millions of glory hunters worldwide buying merchandise and multi million sponsers left, right and centre but we are not one of the big boys - if we try push for the top we post losses, same as Man City and Chelsea did when they were taken over only difference was there was no FFP to worry about.

Villa the only other club alongside us currently making a go of it and spendinga few bob - they'll be in the same boat as us in a few years and were up until Guardiola was conned into handing them £100 million for Grealish.

No Villa will not be in the same boat as us. No one in English football is in the same boat as us currently, no one else has been woefully mismanaged to the degree we have. No one else is staring down the barrel of a points deduction.

I don’t “expect success” at all, but I certainly don’t expect to be relegated after spending £500m plus god knows what compensation to sack 6 managers in 6 years. That is nothing other than gross negligence and mismanagement at the top of the club.

We aren't staring down the barrel of a points deduction, Mike. Everton and the PL have been in close contact for the last two years to avoid this. It's all been well established.

We are woefully mismanaged and that has resulted in us being in a relegation scrap.

Forgive me for not having faith in that turning out how you seem to think it will. We will break the rules again, we probably already have, this owner can’t help himself.

Well I don't disagree with you there but right now we are not staring down the barrel. If we go and break the rules again then yes but, we haven't, or they'd have hit us already with it.

As much as I'm gutted they went, players like Digne and James have saved us big, big wages. We have Delph, GS, Tosun all leaving in the summer which is a combined 300k at least off the weekly wages. We got a fee for Digne that covered the payments for Patterson and Mykolenko who won't be on big wages. We have actually done the Dele deal in a very clever way accounting wise that it's not costing us fee-wise until at least after June, which means it goes onto the next set of accounts. The VdB deal is a loan. The El Ghazi deal was mad and typical Moshiri but, relatively, hasn't cost us anything (there's even been a suggestion it was kind of built into the Digne cost to make Villa's books look better too).

But I absolutely, like you, don't trust Moshiri not to cock up again. Hopefully though the appointment of Thelwell means he has realised he has to step away. But hope's all we have.

That’s no ambition that and quite frankly sums up how ridiculous your points are. You want success, but also don’t think we have a cats chance because we don’t have oil money. You want a relegation so you have a chance of a day out at Wembley for the playoffs (and if that happens it’s because we were too woeful to walk the league itself) without realising that the stadium you’re kissing Moshiri’s arse over will be very much impacted if we do indeed go down

Moshiri's wealth what is it, is it all tied up in Usmanov business stock which has tanked in value now the Russian economy is at Glasnost levels of the early 90's.

Or is his wealth insulated in Western companies safe in the West?

It might be getting laundered through standard chartered along with the terrorist dollars that your club gratefully accepts.

lol lol lol

So because I dont expect us to do a Leicester yano dubbed the "greatest sporting achievement of all time" means I have no ambition?

Utterly ridiculous.

Do you take credit cards and loans out on the hopes of being able to pay them back after you win the euro millions?

I don’t do lotteries so moot point. Leicester have showed it can be done but here you are giving up and not wanting to lose someone who’s destroying our club because in your own head it’s his money or no money

Nope.

But I'll bet you a lot of money Moshiri can leave tomorrow and in 5 years time we'll have still not won a trophy, league title or qualified for the Champions League unless we hit the jackpot with a City/PSG type buyout.

It aint worth frazzling your brain stressing over it as modern day football is a farce... maybe if the ESL happens and the scab 6 leave you can start dreaming of seeing fair competition again.
