Kenwright is the most cringeworthy man going. How on Earth did he have control over a Premier League club for so long?

Moshiri on the other hand came across very professional. Said all the right things.

It isn't up to him to be putting Moshiri in a position on the managerial front.

Martinez has massively underachieved for two seasons now, an FA Cup semi final does not change what he has served up in the league. Sherwood got Aston Villa to the final last season, doesn't mean he should have kept his job.

well said mate which is why I thought the martinez comment was daft from Bill...

good news short term, I don't think anyone can doubt Martinez record on big money transfers?
If you were Moshiri you'd look at the transfer activity of Martinez and be reassured any cash he makes available is going to be well spent.

Personally, I dont think there's going to be scores of millions spent this summer. The contract situation will tie down a lot of the cash...that's what's being intimated anyway. I still think there'll be a lot of buying and selling in the summer and I'm not sure we'll see the true contours of Moshiri's policy on net spent until a couple of big names have departed.

There's no way Moshiri sanctions a star player leaving this summer, unless public opinion on Stones has shifted considerably to allow it.

Would simply send the wrong message, and there's no need to in terms of player contracts to cash in on anyone.

I'm expecting a net spend of around £50m+.

Moshiri ? Looked awkward to me

MAybe he is not used to interviews, tv camera etc which would explain the very quiet nature of his share purchase

I think you are right and I also think that is exactly why it was a Bill performance production, stood there with his hand on his shoulder to put him at ease, to let him know it is no big deal, and that it is all part of the game and things to come for him. It was very much in the ilk of the first interview of the young up and coming player with the club captain stood there next to him, taking the lions share of the interview.

All in all a positive impression for me!

You also have to factor in the Euro2016 tournament: price inflation can really test a clubs hand on a star player.
