The issue for me isn't that Elstone hasn't been sacked it's that his position appears to have strengthened slightly.

Why can't everyone just understand who is in charge and has the final say? And just let it go with Elstone?

Unless you know the exact t&c of any contract you opinion lacks substance. Making assumptions is wrong. To remove elstone at this early stage would be madness. He will be knowledgable of day to day business, this will allow any newcomer to assess, develop strategies and improve effectively with limited impact on day to day affairs.

Take a deep breath, enjoy the semis and watch the good times unfold...... with or without elstone. Time will tell

I've said all this, I said I understand it, but I think Elstone is a clown. And there's ample "substance" to back that up.

Outwardly yes, but Directors can be gotten rid of anytime. It may even be a sop to grease the wheels of his removal....just let it run...our new man will sort it all out.....

If Moshiri wants him on the board, that's ok with me.
Elstone will be out if Moshiri is not happy with him.

When i started my new job, I picked the brains of the guy who had been doing it before me.
once i learnt all i needed to know, the other guy was moved on.
This could be the case with Elstone.

The CEO runs the club, it can't get any simpler than that. His entire job is to implement the boards decisions and he has no authority to make decisions on behalf of the board without prior approval

The board don't need to be there on a daily basis to give him direction on what to do and how to do it, it's why they have appointed a CEO, he'll have targets and objectives to meet

It'll be part of the negotiations when he bought in. Bill would have insisted suntan is on the board especially as bill is hardly in the best health.

For me The main priority is building a new stadium and the man has just had a very public spat with the Mayor who made a fool of him. This mans influence at the club has just increased (albeit in a small way)
