Elstone's not CEO anymore so I suspect the only thing he'll be delivering, going forward, is the tea at board meetings...hence my comment.
No mate, he's still CEO, the news is just around him being "appointed" to the board of directors... no mention anywhere he's been removed as CEO.

Not sure about that. Moyes survived because he could get us mid table with virtually nothing in the way of large financial backing. Elstone should be judged on what he was able to achieve with limited funds before you trust him with substantial funding. No pass... But his ability, or inability to drive Everton forward can be "best" judged now he has some financial backing.
This doesn't exactly cheer me:
"Elstone and Ryazantsev appointed to Everton Board"
The former seemingly choosing less than good deals for the club, and the latter with an RBS tag to him - they didn't exactly do well financially either.
And what happened there to my font?
*wanders off bewildered*
It's still Elstone unless something has been released this morning? So who will be the new CEO?
Ah, but if he's moved to the board of directors, doesn't he have to stand down as CEO?It's still Elstone unless something has been released this morning?
Apparently not? Much to all our collective chagrin.Ah, but if he's moved to the board of directors, doesn't he have to stand down as CEO?
I suppose we will be head hunting for a new ceo as we speak and elstone will remain in place until we find the right personAh, but if he's moved to the board of directors, doesn't he have to stand down as CEO?
So doesn't it matter then that a member of the board is or isn't a director? I thought that a director had additional responsibilities in law. Could you spell it out for someone (me) who is rather confused?Sorry mate but you are talking nonsense.
The conduct of board meetings is almost entirely unregulated by the Companies Act.
There is only one statutory provision for "the board" and that is in the proper keeping of records and minutes ( CA 2006, section 248).
Board meetings are regulated by the articles of association of the company, there's no "day to day executive board" at Everton.
