In fact, I will amend my post of about 10days ago to state that according to Companies House, Mr Moshiri has not held a directorship in the UK since Feb 2010. I initially said Nov 2009, but found one under the name of Farhad Moshiri, rather than his full name.
I shall now go and flagellate myself, prior to donning a sack-cloth and ashes and crawling over broken glass.

Maybe you should wait until after we win the cup, mate.

Didn't stop Earl being on the board.

I'm sure they could Skype the meetings from Goodison Road if they wanted to.

Also the main reason Moshiri & Usmanov were/are frustrated at Arsenal was because they wanted to be on the board of directors and Kroenke wouldn't let them.

Therefore I would be shocked if Moshiri isn't on the EFC board in some fashion.
Yes but I think Moshiri actually cares whereas Earl didn't. He's carefully appointed someone to oversee the day to day running of the club and attend board meetings in his stead, and Ryazantsev will be acting for Moshiri and voicing Moshiri's views in person. Moshiri has the power he wanted at Arsenal without needing to personally attend all board meetings.

Abramovic doesn't sit on the Chelsea board but he holds the power there.

The one who came from Leicester the other week, he'd have no input into that one. Elstone or a member of his team would have sorted that.
even so it's all part of a hopefully 'new look' everton.

I think Moshiri or Moshiris man on the board will be heavily influential on getting top tier staff members at everton in every department.

Good points. Ryazantsev is clearly his eyes and ears. Will be interesting how things move forward and how quickly things like the stadium etc are sorted out. No real excuses for inertia now.

Many initial corporate structures are settled to give a nod to old and new and stop alarms racing that the new guys are going to destroy the existing culture and get rid of all the old ones. It's an appeasement only as a starting point. When they have to grow the business in the first year with projections and interact with the other directors is when the fun starts.

Can only wait and see, there's usually a lot of change in the initial two years before a settled corporate team are in place.

I know some of the things Elstone's overseen has been far from ideal and he's made some mistakes. But it could easily be argued that its all he could do with the backing he had. Yes he's put his foot in it with some of his comments, but he's also not going to come out publicly and start a blame game on why we can't do xyz.

The CEO can only work with the resources available to them and lets face it, we had no real retail ability in place or in fact any spare money to implement any "potential" plan... so we had to choose the next best thing and Kitbag was that, and it did provide an income string without any outgoings.

Given the money available to us for the past decade and are lack of recent success, we've always been on the back foot and dealt with that situation well. Hopefully now with more buying power, better contacts, higher profile players and some silverware (please), our sponsorship and kit income streams increase significantly!

From this point on though, is when he really should be judged as we now have someone with the ability to drive us forward, on and off the pitch. So time will tell...

I'm just looking forward to where Everton will be in 12 months, as I've had enough of feeling all "Everton that". If by that point we've not improved, then start the moaning, but until then... :celebrate:

You want to give Elstone a pass after all these years but say we should start moaning after giving Moshiri 12 months.

To quote a fellow Toff..."erm".

No pass... But his ability, or inability to drive Everton forward can be "best" judged now he has some financial backing. If our off field performance doesn't show signs of moving in the right direction within 12 month, then he should go. I'm not saying we should be in the top 3 for shirt sales, or sponsorship deals. But we should be starting to put plans in place and executing on them.

I also never said anything about moaning about Moshiri, you inserted that name. If Elstone after 12 month still isn't delivering or meeting the set expectations, then Moshiri should be moving him on

Elstone's not CEO anymore so I suspect the only thing he'll be delivering, going forward, is the tea at board meetings...hence my comment.
