It won't mate, not even close, we probably don't even have the space there for it and we certainly wouldn't want people coming in watching u21 games so I am not expecting anything ott, just something that allows us to play u21 games there.

I have posted in the past, and been criticised for it, but Finch farm is not all it's cracked up to be. It's a good facility but not even top 10 in this country.

I expect we will see a lot of upgrades there over the next few years.
its shocking then if finch farm is not even top 10 materiel over here considering how recent it was built . Other than city who else is better ? I'm not doubting just genuinely interested mate.

Ignore this mate I've just seen your other post. Cheers

With regards to Finch Farm, you may think it's an excellent place but how many other training grounds have you been. for example, have you seen the likes of Spurs, City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea that completely blow us out the water and are on a different planet. Whilst clubs like West Brom, Villa and Huddersfield have better facilities than us and that is without thinking about it too hard at all.

See above.

always thought we had an indoor pitch to be fair, but fair point

We do have an indoor pitch but it's 7 or 8 a side at the most not full size or remotely close.

City's gym is bigger than our indoor pitch.

To be fair to the clubs I have listed, they all have newer facilities than us or have redeveloped those they have.

Like most things Everton under the previous regime, I am sure ours was good when it opened but we haven't moved with the times.

Other clubs have spent fortunes on there facilities in that time.

I know you've sen the reply but Spurs Lodge is a great place, the best looking training facility I've seen in my life, even better than City's although I think City's is much better equipped but Spurs is no expenses spared.

It has an oak lined indoor facility, that is below floor level and surrounded by car parks but the glass walls open up so it can be viewed virtually all the way around form outside. They have bout 20 changing rooms which are unbelievable kitted out and the grass looks like it gets hand cut with scissors.

I've heard Southampton's is very impressive. Middlesbrough have a cracking training facility, but Gibson also owns a 5 star spa and gold course on the lands.

Good course as well.

cheers mate . Spurs is pretty new isn't it ?

We've a decade and a half on no investment to catch up on across the whole club.

Our on field performances have disguised, by and large, how far in infra-structure and facilities we have fallen behind almost all other Premier League clubs and a number of Championship clubs also.

It's going to take time and significant investment to recover that lost ground. Thank goodness we now appear to have someone who has the means and ambition to do that.

Great thinking. So many possibilities if we do it right.
Stop thinking like pauper little Everton people.

Hopefully the days of thinking like paupers and "taking a knife to a machine gun fight" etc will soon be long distance memories! The more I hear about Mr Moshiri and the way he's going about things the more I think "Everton are on the up and up" as the song says!

That's the attitude my man.
Let's all get excited FINALLY and expand our expectations!

Don't know what much more moshiri could have done if his first 2 weeks. The 'hotel' for the players seemed to be put on a back burner prior to his arrival, but now that is in the pipeline again and it is a nice touch regarding the academy stadium. Our reputation for developing kids in the academy is second to none, but now with the 'stadium' idea it will only enhance our prospects of enticing young talent to our club in the future, whilst at the same time giving our under 18s and 21s the best possible facilities to develop.
I think the plans like mini stadium and bedrooms etc will have been on hold until the club ownership was settled.
