I know you've sen the reply but Spurs Lodge is a great place, the best looking training facility I've seen in my life, even better than City's although I think City's is much better equipped but Spurs is no expenses spared.

It has an oak lined indoor facility, that is below floor level and surrounded by car parks but the glass walls open up so it can be viewed virtually all the way around form outside. They have bout 20 changing rooms which are unbelievable kitted out and the grass looks like it gets hand cut with scissors.
i think you'll have small band of fans, like us on here, who would want to watch them but how many take an interest in our youth sides really.

Was anyone interested that we played a weakened team last day of the season in a game we only had to win to win the league and lost, no one batted an eye lid, no one even knew the game was going on because generally, no one is too bothered about the younger teams. They have an interest in players maybe but actually getting off their arse and going on, not many do. My post was more about Everton though, not the fans. Everton really don't want you there hence the very little communication we get form them.

With regards to Finch Farm, you may think it's an excellent place but how many other training grounds have you been. for example, have you seen the likes of Spurs, City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea that completely blow us out the water and are on a different planet. Whilst clubs like West Brom, Villa and Huddersfield have better facilities than us and that is without thinking about it too hard at all.

It's all well and good been a nice place, but poor gym facilities, poor changing facilities, poor/none spectator facilities, not one full size indoor pitch (city have 3 and then a few smaller ones also), a lack of outside floodlit pitches are just basics that are generally now taken as standard that we don't have.
Think you're doing Finch Farm an injustice mate. Its a fantastic facility, dont think anyone should be compared to Man City or Chelsea for obvious reasons.
Considering our finances over the past couple of decades I think the club have done very well.Looks like it will change for the better now.
I've been to Finch Farm quite a few times now and have to say i'm impressed every time ive been.
If the point is producing home grown players then it hasnt helped City , Chelsea or even Spurs uptill Pochetino became their manager.
First time i went to FF Moyes was gushing because Alex Ferguson told him it was better than Carrington.
Apart from Huddersfield ??? each of the clubs you mention have rich benefactors & in Villa's case hasnt done them much good.

We've a decade and a half on no investment to catch up on across the whole club.

Our on field performances have disguised, by and large, how far in infra-structure and facilities we have fallen behind almost all other Premier League clubs and a number of Championship clubs also.

It's going to take time and significant investment to recover that lost ground. Thank goodness we now appear to have someone who has the means and ambition to do that.

How long do you think it would take to catch up?

I think we'll start catching up re player expenditure from this summer, but in a controlled manner.

Infra-structure/stadium etc is going to take 5-7 years at a minimum.
That's perfect for me. On field needs to be addressed immediately. Happy to wait a few years for the rest.

Who exactly should we be listening to, or more correctly who should Moshiri be listening to ?
Maybe he should come on GOT , there seems to be plenty who could point him in the right direction.

You're saying it like it's a far-fetched joke but that's kind of my point: there are absolutely people here with better CVs than suntan. He's a light-weight.

I am not trying to be smart, but it amazes me that people know what he is doing wrong although they don't know what he is doing.

All I commented on was Bob's appointment to the board which is a fact I *do* know is going on. If you are suggesting his appointment to the board hides some secret plan to fire him then yes I will confess I don't know that.

Decade and a half? Much longer than that, The Esk. Quarter of a century, easily. Thank God for The Mosh.

Are we likely to be able to find out the new share ownership of the club anytime soon? Would be interesting to know who else sold shares to Mr Moshiri.

I can't help but think that without this investment (or any investment) then we'd have slipped firmly in to mid table, or worse.

Exciting times.

I think the articles say there'll be a minimum of three people on the board, rather than exactly three, so I'd say yes, you can have a four man board.

I'm assuming Earl will stand down, and wouldn't be surprised if Woods does the same, which would just leave Kenwright and the lad with the long name, so, if that happened, then you'd need someone else.

If Earl doesn't resign then I have no idea what's going on, still, nothing new there.

When Bill finally stands down, Jon Woods will stand down, but its very, very unlikely that Jon W will stand down before Bill. This from the only really reliable source that I have with regard to all things Everton.
