I don't get how Usmanov and others are lumped together but the actual owners of Newcastle are trying to wipe out the Yemenese and nobody is batting an eyelash much less pulling them up

Indeed, in 5 years he took wages from 83m to 182m, truly staggering. It wasnt really just the fees being paid out. I guess their whole strategy was the truly stupid give Bill Kenwright a lot of money and hes going to find great players no one else can that we can sell in a few years for massive profits. It's staggering to think that in 2016 when this clown invested we had a decent squad on paper (shame about the manager), a reasonably healthy balance sheet and the perfect platform to invest strategically to progress as a club.
Look at us now. Riddled with debt, huge cash flow issues, a truly terrible squad, very dodgy ownership, a living relic as a chairman, a temporary board, huge divisions in our fan base, a stadium that without a capital investment will never be finished, oh, and we're about to face our third relegation battle in 3 years.
Because western governments are massive hypocrites.I don't get how Usmanov and others are lumped together but the actual owners of Newcastle are trying to wipe out the Yemenese and nobody is batting an eyelash much less pulling them up
Saudi spend £hundreds of millions a year on defence spending with British companies. The Yemen issue has been highlighted in the past but our government turns a blind eye as they know how much they would lose in business revenues and taxes.I don't get how Usmanov and others are lumped together but the actual owners of Newcastle are trying to wipe out the Yemenese and nobody is batting an eyelash much less pulling them up
On the face of it it's not a very attractive proposal, but I'm pretty sure with competent people running the business (whilst providing a modest budget for the football team) things would turn pretty sharpish.I just can't for the life of me see why Moshiri would want to give it up at this point or why MSP would want to take it on. The last I heard was MSP providing a loan for the stadium at about a 12% rate. Tasty for them and much more lucrative than taking on ownership of a business that 100m in the red every year and showing no sign of improving
He maybe an offshore billionaire in assets, our deficit is nearing 1/2 a billion overall the ground is all he is interested getting finished so he then sell us to get his cash back - who he sells our club too is the vital question his search for investment is purely to complete our new stadiumSomeone, somewhere with a bottomless pit of money is watching and waiting until the time is right to jump in and buy the Club at a sufficient cut price value which will enable Moshiri to walk away with a mitigated loss...albeit not sufficient to recoup anything near his expenditure to date.
However, if you are a billionaire or as near as dammit then what's a few hundred million deficit. He's well into his 60's and shrouds have no pockets and I'm sure his extended family will still be well catered for...unless he is leaving it all to Everton's version of Methuselah!?
The damage is already done though. Who with any common sense or business acumen is going to put 1.1 billion into the 15-20th best side in England just to keep them afloat? They could buy any old Championship side like say Sunderland for 75 million and have that billion to get way ahead of us. We make absolutely no sense to buy at present which is why despite being up for sale for close to 3 years the closest we've came is a 25% stake to MSP or a consortium that no one in the business world actually believes has any moneyOn the face of it it's not a very attractive proposal, but I'm pretty sure with competent people running the business (whilst providing a modest budget for the football team) things would turn pretty sharpish.
All of our problems are directly connected to the ego that is Bill Kenwright. He genuinely believes he's the best man for the job, he surrounded himself for years with people who reenforce that opinion.
Moshiri is an idiot, but I sometimes sympathise with him because he's been hoodwinked by Kenwright.
"Don't worry Farhad, I know what I'm doing."
The sooner he's in a box, the better for everyone connected to the club.
It's only 1.2 if Moshiri wants pretty much every penny back. It's been claimed MSP would buy him out over 3 years for between 3-400 million. (plus the debt, plus the stadium)The damage is already done though. Yes it seems kind of appealing to buy a championship side, but in the end its not as appealing to many for a few reasons. First, that 1.1 billion for us would include 500m for a brand new fancy stadium you can show off to your billionaire buddies. Are you going to build that in Sunderland? If not, then you can never get close to as valuable of a club. The damage is already done though. We need a Sheik. On the flip side of that we may be able to sell to someone who has the means and access to refinance the short term debt to a longer term kind of variant.

I used sunderland for a reason. The stadium of light is one of the best stadiums in the country.Yes it seems kind of appealing to buy a championship side, but in the end its not as appealing to many for a few reasons. Second, between gate receipts and commercial revenue, we make 40m more a year than a team like Sunderland. Over 5 years that 200m in revenue. Third, theres no guarantee they make the premier league and can start to take advantage of that sweet broadcast money. Meanwhile if we get relegated, we get a 100m solidarity package over a few seasons. Having assured hundreds of millions in revenue over another option and a fancy stadium is appealing to busy billionaires. Otherwise they take the big risk to try and create that over the course of 5-10 years, which will cost them hundreds of millions to hopefully get to the point where 8 years later they saved 100m. Or lost 200m. Now of course all of that depends on the price that is asked for Everton. If its 1.3 million its not attractive. If its 900m it is. Thats what they will be looking at.
britain sell weapons to the saudis they’d never want to upset themI don't get how Usmanov and others are lumped together but the actual owners of Newcastle are trying to wipe out the Yemenese and nobody is batting an eyelash much less pulling them up
