It's staggering to think that in 2016 when this clown invested we had a decent squad on paper (shame about the manager), a reasonably healthy balance sheet and the perfect platform to invest strategically to progress as a club.

Look at us now. Riddled with debt, huge cash flow issues, a truly terrible squad, very dodgy ownership, a living relic as a chairman, a temporary board, huge divisions in our fan base, a stadium that without a capital investment will never be finished, oh, and we're about to face our third relegation battle in 3 years.

Did we have a healthy balance sheet though?

The following is the mindless ramblings of a long term Everton fan.

But, im bored and I wanted to write it down, feel free to ignore.

The figures are a mixture of plucked from the air and guesswork, there will be numerous mistakes.

But here goes :

2022/23
IN
Onana 32m, McNeil 15m, Maupay 12m,Garner 8m ,Gana 2m

69m

OUT
Richarlison 55m, Gordon 45m

100m

2023/24
IN
Beto 25, Chermiti 10.5m
35.5m

OUT
Kean 27m, Iwobi 22m, Cannon 7m, Simms 6m, Niels 4m, Gray 8m, ISS 4m

78m

Now I didnt include the Danjuma loan fee or the Stones CL clause, but its the same and out, so not important.

So total Ins 104.5m
Total Outs 178m

If I had to guess, we are selling players to pay off the interest on debt, not even paying off debt, merely servicing the interest on the debt.

Thanks a lot Mosh.

He would probably join the protest, no one wants him out more then he does himself.

Protest would be better served about who or rather who shouldn’t be our next owners.

He should lower his asking price if he is desperate to leave the club

Don't really understand your second point. How can fans protest against something we don't have enough information on. We don't know who the prospective buyers are.

The club will go for next to nothing anyway. By the time the stadium in built we will have £550 mill of external debt. The club isn’t worth that. It will be convincing people to take that on.

Who will take that on? No sensible investor. Explains the second point, rouge or vulture investors, like 777. Sit on a stake, pay themselves fees and profits, don’t invest in the business and move off.

I’ve already forgotten about Moshiri, he wants out - he’s done - all eyes on what he does next and his desperation to run away from the above and if he brings in a 777. The next move is the one we should be focussed on.
