Agree but we need new owners ASAP and not 777 or their type either.
Agreed the quest, is on for a reliable owner and but God only knows, how long it will take.

But strange things in football fo happen.

I hope there's a good ending, and Evertonians, can see a clear day soon, in context of the decades of miss managing of the club, and so the matters of the football side can take priority.

One day...

UTFTs!

Problem is a new owner needs to pay off a loan of 200m, a stadium of 350m and then the 800m Farhad wants for the club. Then needs to invest capital in the team.

Short of new investment it is inevitable and we are not attractive to investors. Hugely concerning
It's concerning in our current state, but US Investors supposedly see upper/mid-tier Premier League (IE, Europa qualification contenders) clubs are being worth around 2.5 billion pounds in the next 3/5 years. It doesn't take much to bridge the gap from relegation scrappers to that level.

Personally I want fewer US owners in the league, but they seem to be taking over whatever they can.

Question is how long will the restrictions to your Usmanovs of the world last? If they are lifted does it change everything for us again?
Genuinely think every Tom [Poor language removed] and Harry would be gunning for us if Usmanov's money started coming into the club again,it would also add fuel to the fire that it has been his money all along coming into the club.

Baloney.

Investment and/ or takeover will occur. The price will drop to ensure Moshiri minimises the losses he could see if administration was on tbe cards.

I'm not saying our finances aren't being managed catastrophically but if the price is right, we'd present a fantastic opportunities.

They'll be over the day there is a peace deal I place over Ukraine.

Also I suspect whatever deal occurs will require a large amount of reparations to Ukraine and this will require financial systems and trade to restart promptly. Plus knowing the love of cheap dirty money from abroad in western financial systems itcould wellbeing back to normal.

I don't see sanctions in the foreseeable future for Russians or Russia after the Ukranian war is over, as they simply won't have the ability to do anything like that again especially as NATO will be all along their border and they won't be able to take that on

Will Usmanov be interested after all this? That may be a bigger question.

It's mad because, for me, you only need to see the affect that City's takeover and subsequent success has had on the city of Manchester as a whole. I realise it was a different time compared to now.. but they were relative minnows (certainly compared to United) before they got that massive injection of cash and it payed off for all parties massively.

It may be blue-tinted specs firmly on here.. but surely there's parallels to be draw there with Everton? the phrase 'sleeping giant' gets bandied about a lot but I honestly don't think that's a million miles off.. we've even got the stadium in the wings already there for the next owner.
Tbf the council built the stadium for the commonwealth games or whatever, some of the legacy benefit will have been the justification for that bid and expenditure to begin with, I’m not sure any regeneration etc is entirely down to City’s take over.

The conditions on the loan taken out by old Bill are a huge deterrence.
