This bloke is a proven, prudent, (as far as I can tell), experienced football person. Quick fixes, a'la City signing all sorts when that happened, is a billion miles away from what I reckon he envisages.
At one point, the Merican deal seemed to be a Utd Lite one. Debt etc.
This feels more like an Arsenal Lite one. Happier with that me.
