The press guys I know all think Roberto will be fired at season end but the one person I know who is close to Bill insists he is staying.

The press are getting briefed from inside the club but not by Bill. Presumably Esk has similar contacts. Perhaps James Corbett has a contact close to Bill? Perhaps he is just taking the path less trodden because he will look like a genius if Bill turns out to be Bill and still in control?

The same Bill contact says WHP will be quietly binned over the summer and that we are unlikely to do anything on the ground soon, not least because we are pushing for a more central location. He didn't suggest it wasn't a priority, just not imminent.

FWIW I personally don't expect Moshiri to pick a fight with Bill on Roberto but that may just be my natural Evertonian pessimism.

The rumbles are Moshiri is focused on consolidating ownership in 2017 and hopefully bringing in another partner. Even then BK will stay in the frame if his health permits. Whether we like it or not he is surprisingly well liked in football circles and Moshiri also realises the same is true with many fans.

Even the worst case scenario of more Bill and more Roberto is not an unmitigated disaster as we will be better funded and things can be changed if next season does not start well.

Again, personally my blood runs cold at the thought of more phenomenal bullshit but there are worse things in life (Tory governments, Donald Trump, kopites, black pudding...).

Moshri has the money bill doesn't enough said.

I imagine Bill is still jostling for influence and may well be briefing press friends to imply that he still has a definitive say in the running of the club.

I can tolerate him remaining in the form of goodwill from Moshiri and would readily accept that he seems well thought of in football. Perhaps what is expected to be the immiment dismissal of Martinez will help to convince us that Moshiri is the don, and in full control.

FWIW, I can take a delay of another 12 months before concrete (pardon the pun) plans are set forth for a new stadium. The manager situation and stabilising the club on the pitch should be Moshiri's immediate concerns.

I am happy to take in good faith the information provided by @The Esk. He doesn't have to say anything and has been consistent with the information he has given, so no reason apparent to doubt it.

The most alarming thing about that post was re the stadium and nothing being imminent, imo this is a massive priority as we are getting left behind by everyone, and we will soon if not already have the worst stadium in the premier league
Something as big as this takes time though. You can't just waltz in and within a few weeks have a plan in place for a brand new stadium mate.

But just on the stadium surely they have pretty decent plans already made etc? I mean we seen that image a couple of months back so those plans looked fairly advanced, and would surely only need slight adjustments here or there depending on what site we went for?

This is Everton you're talking about. Our plans are probably drawn on the back of a beer mat.

If the majority of the press are getting briefed from within the club that he has gone then you have to go with that to be honest.
Sooner or later Moshiri is going to have to step forward and announce his plans on all football club matters - he will have no choice.

Could it conceivably be RE/BK v JW/FM on decisions with casting vote given to BK as chairman?

Even if it was the case, and I'm not convinced it is, the Chairman cannot use his casting vote just to carry his own view. He must take into account the interests of shareholders. Given that scenario the Chair could not vote against the wishes of Moshiri and Woods for example.

Ok so whilst each will get one vote, the significance of share holding carries more weight?
