All good points mate, but if there was a rush to buy Everton, why did Moshiri acquire his shares for a lower price than the Americans were offering?

On the point of being competitive and requiring more capital, (i) that's not established yet ( the need for Moshiri to bring in outsiders) and (ii) I've already hinted that he might like to do something without Usmanov (not withstanding that Usmanov has to sell his Arsenal holdings first if they were to do something which I don't believe they will).

I'm fully aware of the role of personal relationships in business but I'm also aware that two very close individuals can make separate investment decisions without ruining their relationships. I'd say Moshiri has already given clear evidence of his willingness to step out alone - that's exactly what he has done.

I think you're painting yourself into a corner here mate. You are absolutely refusing to believe that the two of them may just have a cunning plan. They may not as you say, but to just dismiss it is perhaps being a little dogmatic.....just saying....

Could all well be as you say mate, I am no businesman - far form it can barely balance the monthly bills ;/

What i would say is that these two men have had a close freindship that has lasted through some heavy business ventures, which is rare, and they both shared a passion for the same thing - football and ownign and shaping the future of a club, togetehr they tried and fauiled - one split off and is now in a position to do so, the othe ris stuck in limbo, i can see it being a case of Moshiri actually wanting this to be done with his long time friend rather than without - and it actually meaning maybe more to do it togteher than apart...

For a second remove the business and think about it as two blokes who love football and have a shared dream for a long time mate, maybe it will strike a differing note in you when you do that

Price on Everton - because Kenwright love him or loath him, knows this will be his defining decision that will be his 'legacy', sell for a lower figure to the bloke you have known a whilst and had a long process of negotaition with, or sell it to a higher bidder who youve known 5 minutes? But make no mistake the selling of the R and W holding and purchase of us was to outward eyes rushed through in the first case to enable the second to happen

Their relationship is key. I've seen multi Billion pound deals progress or flounder purely on the basis of the perception of future relationships. Finance and Returns are one thing but if the relationship is not right it doesn't happen........

I disagree on that mate, IF Moshiri had agreed with Usmanov something i don't think for 1 second he would not go through with it

With the amount of money involved I suspect there would need to be a contractual agreement which would contravene premier league rules wouldn't it ?

Of course there would, at the appropriate time. But that timing is completely under the control of Moshiri and Usmanov....

Moshiri will take over and this time next year Usmanov will buy in..

Mosh bought in to us with Usmanovs money anyway... lol
I'm astonished at Esk not even considering there is a plan afoot here with Moshiri and Usmanov, all logic points to them playing a game here to gain control of their own club, it did from day one.

And now a very trusted ITK says its 1 million % happening when 100% was all that was needed, and the legendary BlueFox saying he's heard the same whispers, well, it's a great time to be an Evertonian.

I'm not arsed either way really, all I want is a new stadium, and that's happening within 3 years according to the mayor, it's all gravy after that.

I do wonder if esk is so clear on this as actually knows of another investor coming in Who is not usmanov but can't say or would burn his source
