Why would Usmanov stay at Arsenal?, you ain't a numpty, far from it, he'll go to his grave holding 30% of nothing if he isn't involved in his dream with Moshiri to own a Prem club.

Because (i) he personally (not just alongside Moshiri in that letter) has committed to leaving his holdings to his family and generations to come (ii) he has said on numerous occasions Arsenal is "his" club (as a supporter) and (iii) perhaps most importantly there's an old investment adage that says "the money from the impatient ends up in the pocket of the patient". That's almost always true, there are times when you just have to play the waiting game and not chase the next "deal". You may then ask why hasn't Moshiri done similar? Well because I put it to you that (i) Moshiri wants to achieve something on his own account other than in partnership with Usmanov, and (ii) as I've said on numerous occasions from a portfolio management point of view they're both increasing their exposure to the PL at a time when revenues are going to soar. That seems a sensible investment decision, regardless of the emotional investment in owning/part-owning a football club.

Glad he's let you know this, it seems a bit weird that a man who is interested in winning sees the last 16 of the champions league as success.
It need not end at the last 16 lad, that's just the picture I have painted.

As I've said earlier, I want a new stadium, and it looks like that will happen, after that I'm not arsed, it's all good if we get a new home.

He's now been their for almost 10 years, it's obviously a big deal to him. He's apparently a boyhood Arsenal supporter, If Usmanov sold his shares he'd be admitting Kroenke gets his own way. I can't see Usmanov ever losing out on anything and for a man worth 14 billion dollars that'd be a very hard pill to swallow.

Ok glad we've cleared up its a fantasy of yours and not something likely to happen.

FYI:
Moshiri and Usmanov have known each other since 1989, 27 years. Been in that Red and White holdings since 2007.

If Moshiri has came here originally to be on his own, but then realised the potential we have got, then he might have had a word with Usmanov and they could rejoin at Everton when Moshiri has bought out Kenwright and Woods - forming Blue & White Holdings ;)

I think there is definitely a chance Usmanov could join us, don't think the odds are in our favour but who knows..

Anyway, about those tickets........

With all due respect mate, I've just woken up on a Sunday morning to read no Jose and Lukaku is running out the door as fast as he can.
Please remind me again what that potential is?

Fair enough if that's your view, and if I thought it was logical to me I'd say so.

If I was Usmanov at 62 with a passion for being able to run my own Prem team, I'd be looking for a way to do it after 10 years going nowhere and failing in what was a hostile takeover attempt at Arsenal.

If I was a billionaire and couldn't buy Everton and wanted my own club, to be sat in the box on CL nights knowing this was my dream, I'd be looking for other options to realise that dream before father time caught up with me.

So what better way to get even than to set up an Arsenal of the North and screw the other fella..........

Don't worry pal, once Emery kicks Barca's ass, he's on the first flight here

.......I hope!

I would not say it's not likely to happen, far from it

Moshiri and Usmanov had a plan to run their own club in the Prem, it failed at Arsenal, we have credible ITK's saying their plans have shifted to Us.

There's a lot to be said for this. These guys have so much money they can just sod off and live like kings on islands or big boats. But, and it's a big but, they also like to be treated like kings and show off to their mates. Football is the new yacht, but it can also make money, so you can have a nice trophy possession that gives pleasure and generates wealth...
