potential? we are miles behind, players wanting out, unable to attract a half decent manager, dilapidated ground, Moshiri must be thinking what the **** have i done here? Usmanov like Mourinho is not coming, Lukaku like Stones is not staying, the only reason Barkley is still here is because he too fat to fit in the taxi with Lukaku and Stones. our highlight this year has been Liverpool losing to Sevilla, what a sad excuse for a football club we have become.
The season ended last week, calm down.

And let's be honest, our highlight of the season wasn't them losing to Sevilla. After an awful season on the pitch you have to look off the pitch for the highlights - Moshiri and the families getting justice. A football fans rival getting beat naturally makes them happy, it's normal. We're not a sad excuse for a football club.

Alright mate I'll stay positive. :)
Patience is required. We may be going through a major rebuild on field that could take a few seasons to get us back in Europe I am afraid. It will be exciting to watch.
I've always been the optimist so I'm still expecting a Jose u-turn and us the win the league next year lol

I'm happy with a new stadium mate, I'm just stating my educated opinion, I'm not in the know, I'm only backing up the views of people I trust due to form, and the lad saying Usmanov is coming 1 million percent got my attention.
If it came from some random bloke on Twitter I wouldn't even bother reading into it, it's such an easy rumour to make up. He's our major shareholders best mate and long time business parter, anyone could make the rumour up and every Evertonian can see how possible it could be. But just because it's easy to put the two together doesn't even mean Usmanov has considered leaving Arsenal.

This is the only Everton forum I post on but I had a look at The Everton Forum and the poster who originally made the call, I read through all of his previous posts and the lad has a damn good track record, it's hard to not get excited when a bloke like his claims its a "million percent" happening.

Being mischevious and possibly totally wrong here, but if there were any truth in the Usmanov link it could pan out within Prem League ownership rules.
Nothing as far as I am aware for the owner of a significant number of shares to negotiate buying another club as long as they sell their shares to an unconnected person. This is after all what Mr Mosiri did.
If BHHL gets to 75% +1 share ownership of the club, couldn't the purchaser then put forward a scheme of arrangement as discussed previously and force the minority to sell? (Or am I misremembering?)
So BHHL could be an enabling vehicle for a second takeover by an unconnected person in the future.
Do I think it will happen in relation to Mr Usmanov - probably not, for the reasons cited by @The Esk , but I am one of life's fence sitters so I'll never say never.

I may be wrong, but I don't think they can force minority shareholders into a sale.

10% is a key threshold in relation to takeover offers. If somebody makes an offer to buy the company and they can acquire 90% or more of the shares, they can require the remaining shareholders to sell their shares for the same price. Equally, in those circumstances, the minority shareholders can require the buyer to buy them out for the same price. If you hold more than 10% of the shares, then you cannot be forced to sell out. However, in private companies (see discussion of drag along and tag along below) this position is often varied by agreement.

Regarding Moshiri, he is a man out on his own. I don't think that Usmanov will play a part in our board but I think we will be looking for investment through Ryazantsev.

Moshiri knows the steel game and with Ryazantsev's banking attributes, they will know the cost of this new chapter in Everton.

I think a piece is missing which is why Kenwright has held on but that piece won't be too far behind our new manager appointment and stadium discussion.

It's very unlikely a Court would see a scheme of arrangement as necessary given the requirement to have the agreement of 75% of the shares not held by the bidder for the scheme to be approved.

If Moshiri approached the court already owning or having the right of ownership to 75% (approx) the court (in fact his own lawyers prior to approach in the court) would point out that 90% is a lower threshold than 75% plus 75% of the remaining 25%.

If we ignore his options agreement and just look at his existing holdings (I'm not sure we can ignore the options agreeement but for the purposes of this, in theory) the threshold by going via a scheme of arrangement drops slightly to 87.5%.
