He has the option to buy the shares of Bill Kenwright, John Woods and Arthur Abercromby. i.e. they have to sell to him if he asks. If he does so that would take his shareholding to just over 75%, giving him total control of the club.
Does he have de facto full control of the club at the mo or?

Going back a few years, well, about 30, wasnt Abercromby on the United board? They deffo had an Abercromby involved; customer of mine knew him and asked me if I needed tickets for the United/Everton cup final, the Whiteside one.

Not sure mate, there doesn't appear to be an Abercromby on their list of former directors...

To all intents and purposes, yes. This arrangement means that any future increase in the value of the club will be to his benefit, not Kenwright et al.

He pumps the money in, brings his team in, gets things buzzing, and others who have done squat dont get richer on the back of his efforts.

I think.

He probably knew Abercromby and a United bloke; he had zippo interest in football, but had quite a few footie clients in the NW.

You probably know him. Allan Rosengren.

Yep. The Lighthouse Group now I think.

Knew him when Falcon were a small group in Bristol. He once wrote to that United director, and showed his football ignorance by asking how the "Young Brian Giggs is playing"!

Hahaha I didn't really know him, dealt with him a few times though. Didn't really get on with him tbh.

He was extremely cold until he got to know you. I put it down to his Scandinavian background; he craved being accepted into England I always thought. And when I dealt with him, it was in the wild west days of the 80s! And at a low level as a broker consultant.

I seem to remember we screwed something up (think it was a mailing of some sort) which cost him quite a lot of money and they sent me to agree compensation. He wasn't a happy bunny.

Haha! He did like his mailings!!

Him and Pete Hargreaves kept several envelope companies in Bristol in business in those days!
